Mitt Romney held meetings with donors in New York this week that left one attendee convinced he is running for president again in 2016.
A member of Romney's inner circle who spoke to Business Insider said the former governor of Massachusetts traveled to New York City on Monday where he met with key financial backers of his past campaigns to lay the groundwork for a 2016 White House bid.

0Bammy never put his dog on the roof of his car. That alone describes a significant difference. About the only valid defense of Mitt, is that he's not a closet muzzie, isn't an actual Marxist, and (from what I know) he's not a racist.
Other than that, he and Obama are two peas in a pod.

Gruber Romney Care. He will not win. No more do overs.

Since he became a republican in October of 1993 and began running for office, he has won a single election (49%), to a single term as a failed governor from 2002-2006, and was forced out against his wishes for reelection, leaving with 34% approval.
How does such a small time bit player come to dominate the national republican party?

I guess “Romney’s Inner Circle Is Convinced He’s Not Running” isn’t much of a story and wouldn’t attract anywhere near as much attention ...

I can't understand all the angst around here surrounding Romney. I have no problem believing your sincerity when you tell us that.

Why would you guess that?
I think it would attract media attention.

How does such a small time bit player come to dominate the national republican party? Because the lo-info republicans see him as 'viable'. He won election once.

The Massachusetts Republican Party died last Tuesday.
The cause of death: failed leadership.
The party is survived by a few leftover legislators
and a handful of county officials and grassroots activists
who have been ignored for years.
Services will be public and a mass exodus of taxpayers will follow.
In lieu of flowers, send messages to Republican voters
warning them about a certain presidential candidate named Romney.
- Boston Herald, 11/12/2006
"In 2006, while Romney was chairman of the National Republican
Governors Association - a group dedicated to electing more
Republican governors - his own hand-picked Republican successor
as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans
have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990. Romney largely
ignored the Massachusetts elections and spent most of the time
during the campaign out of state building his presidential campaign.
He came back and publicly campaigned for the Republican candidate
the day before the general election!
Locally, this is a rebuke to Mitt Romney and checking out within six months
after being elected and having accomplished almost nothing,
[Jim] Rappaport [former chairman of the state Republican Party]."

You say that like it's a bad thing.Lol. Right? I'm STUNED by the # of GOPe shills around here. It's almost like they believe that voting Republican is the ONLY CHOICE! You know, Republicans are soooooooOOOOOOOOO much 'better' than Democrats!!!! If you don't vote R, you're voting D!
Yeah, that's nonsense, and anyone still supporting the GOP at this point needs to address their hatred of the Republic.

I hope Ted Cruz will put phrases in his campaign speeches like:
“Mitt Romney is a good man, but he was just too proud to mention the obvious flaws in ObamaCare. So he lost to Obama.
I hope Governor Romney realizes that his pride could be used as a weapon against him again, if he chooses to run for President again.”
I hope Governor Romney puts America’s needs before his own.”
