Texas is leading a 17-state coalition suing over President Barack Obama's recently announced executive actions on immigration, arguing in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that the move "tramples" key portions of the U.S. Constitution.

Many top Republicans have denounced Obama's unilateral move, which was designed to spare as many as 5 million people living illegally in the United States from deportation.

Should be all 50 of them. Or at least, 49.

California was the first sanctuary state. The governor proclaimed two months ago that he welcomed illegals, as did the previous mayors of la and sf.

You’re right about that. Glad my state joined this. We took enormous flack for not taking the Medicare expansion, and thereby opening the door for Obamacare and we’ll be called racists for this move. Any roadblock is better than no roadblock.

You really want to get the Statists attention? How about 34 states calling for a convention to propose amendments!

In defense of that lost state, the people there tried to address the problem with Proposition 187. It would have cut off illegals from access to our pockets. That did not sit will with the elites. While it passed with overwhelming support a federal judge distorted the Constitution to kill it and the Governor let it die without a fight. The people's next step should have been an initiative forcing the legislature on a Convention of States vote.

I envy those of you who live in red states.

I'd move to Texas except both my kids live here in Washingtonistan...

Well, I understand you completely.
Now that my husband has passed, I’m going to leave this beautiful Southern “red” state and likely go back to San Diego....(because of family).
My other option: Grand Cayman Island, but I’d have to go to the states every 30 days.
what a nuisance.

These are the states that will lead the American revolution 2.0.

You 50 IQ apes in Homeland Security keep practicing with your 1.2 billion rounds of cop killer bullets, with an effective range of 50 meters, and let’s see how you meet riflemen picking you off at 500 meters. Remember, always hold your weapon sideways, you dumb sh*ts.

Thanks for the ping.

Part A of the relief request (see below) indeed requests an injunction but does not request a preliminary injunction which could be obtained in days by filing a separate motion for preliminary injunction. Such a preliminary injunction could order a halt to any processing of CARDS for illegals which as previously discussed would halt further issuance of documents that lead to State IDs and drivers licenses.

And we now know via solid incontrovertible evidence that State IDs/Drivers Licenses have enabled and continue to enable illegals to register to vote via the Motor-Voter act (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/10/22/Ineligible-DACA-Beneficiaries-Discovered-On-NC-Voting-Rolls) and that such illegal registrations have not been small or trivial but are capable of altering outcomes to elections; Obama plans for Latinos to put millions of illegals on the voter rolls regardless of laws requiring citizenship to vote. Laws mean nothing to these people as this is a power grab pure and simple. Once these illegals have registered to vote and do indeed vote or ***are voted***, then it doesn’t matter what legal response is made as lawsuits will all be ineffective once they have the power.

HERE IS A FACT: ONCE AN ILLEGAL VOTE IS PLACED IN A BALLOT BOX OR RECORDED IN THE SYSTEM, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REVERSE IT.

I am concerned that Abbot’s complaint should be followed as soon as possible with a motion for preliminary injunction. as it stands now the filing of the complaint awaits a response from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security which deadline should be no more than about 30 days (I am not sure of the exact time limit) and thus putting this lawsuit’s docket into January for the next action. The there should be a reply in about 2 weeks from the plaintiffs.

On the other hand I can imagine Abbott’s decision to hold back on a preliminary injunction motion is because without the Administration’s response on file, there exists a possibility that a federal judge could deny the motion. So it’s likely best to wait for the Admin response.

But time is of the essence as there are multiple reports that the Obama and Latino group supporters are getting ramped up to facilitate issuance of key cards and documents to the illegals.

Repeat: Time Is Of The Essence.

Here is the Demand For Judgment section of the complaint found in the link in #14:

V. DEMAND FOR JUDGMENT

Plaintiffs respectfully request the following relief from the Court:

A. A declaratory judgment and injunction that the Defendants’ deferred action program violates the Take Care Clause;

B. A declaratory judgment that the Defendants’ deferred action program is procedurally unlawful under the APA;

C. A declaratory judgment that the Defendants’ deferred action program is substantively unlawful under the APA; and

D. All other relief to which the Plaintiffs may show themselves to be entitled.

Voter ID has not and will not stop them:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/10/22/Ineligible-DACA-Beneficiaries-Discovered-On-NC-Voting-Rolls

And the illegal registrations are not a small amount, they are massive.

The illegals will have IDs and will be on the registration poll books or they will be on absentee ballots filled out by Community Service Officers formerly known as community organizers.

As some California Freepers have commented, California went from red to purple gradually, and then from purple to deep blue in record time because of the Latino vote much of which was illegal.

You can believe Brietbart, but I don't think much of their fact-checking anymore. I won't use them as a resource.

If people are on the rolls illegally, there are laws to get them removed.

Breitbart wasn’t the only one to publish these facts and in fact they were not the ones to source these facts. Respected polling groups have had this information out for weeks now and have concluded that past elections were tipped by the illegal votes.

There are laws to remove but it’s very difficult to discern who is and who is not illegal and then there’s the racism charge to contend with.

Don’t underestimate this threat.

Obama’s executive action must be stopped because the dems have an advantage on the Electoral College map and they only need a surge of illegal voters in key precincts to swing an election and carry a state that would have otherwise gone for the republican.

In statistics the effect is known as ‘senstivity’. Small perturbations result in large effects.

You also talk about the large numbers that were DACA applicants.

So which is it? Easy or difficult?
