Dear Republicans in Washington,
Houston, weve got a problem.
We have a president who has made it clear he will unilaterally change laws in a way that will harm Americas economy for years to come whether they pertain to labor, energy, health care, and of course, immigration. He openly brags about his newfound ability to change the law, and he is only emboldened to continue building on the lawlessness for the next two years.
Yet, at the same time that Obama has assumed the powers Alexander Hamilton referred to as the prerogative of perpetual and hereditary prince, you have publicly and preemptively ceded all powers Congress has to stop this regime. You have made it clear to the president that no matter how egregious and unpopular his edicts are with the people, you will not wield the power of the purse in any consequential way. You have telegraphed to him your fervent belief that Republicans would be blamed for any brinkmanship no matter the issue, no matter how much you fund critical aspects of government, no matter the results of the election.

Mark predicted Boehner and McConnell’s capitulation last year, and has been pounding the issue week after week. He also predicted that Commiecare would never be repealed, because Boehner and McConnell want it.
Mark also addressed the “what do we do?” question, his answer being the Article 5 convention, among other traditional tactics.
Yes. Mark has been right all along about them and about what needs to be done. Bypass them.
Here is a link to his show last nigh. The first hour is when he addressed this:

Didn’t you get the memo? Only a Rethuglican can act “unilaterally”.
Our Lord and Savior, the Obama, the Messiah, The Won, acts in all our best interests because as you know, we’re stupid little Grubers.
Honestly, the nerve of some people...
Are GOP promises to voters just as good as Obama's promises to voters? If yes, there is no need to such a Republican Party and it too, must be replaced. This is the last chance saloon for the GOP. Keep your promises or die.
If three men, just three, are currently under control of White House blackmail, we are check-mated at this point. (Roberts, Boehner, McConnel.) We can expect no remedy from SCOTUS or Congress. Rumors about Roberts and Boehner are extensive. Blackmail is Team Obama's M.O. McConnel, I don't know of any scandal rumors, but blackmail is Obama's favored tool.
We are in much greater danger than most people understand.

If the trap is being sprung NOW, reforming the GOP too late will make no difference. See above.
It is VERY clear that most of the elected pubbies are not on the side of “We the people”, but on “They the rulers”.
They are beyond repair.
Let’s have an Article 5 convention and get rid of Congress since it cannot and will not protect our liberties.
Spot-on essay here.
Nailed it!!
