Mitt Romney may say he's not planning to make a third run for the White House, but according to a new CNN/ORC International poll, Republican voters aren't ready to give up on the idea just yet. While there is no clear frontrunner for the Republican ticket in 2016, most likely GOP voters say they would choose the former Massachusetts governor for the nomination, among 16 potential contenders. According to the survey, 20 percent of voters say Romney would be their first choice for the nominee, with retired neurosurgeon and conservative activist Ben Carson coming in second with 10 percent of the vote.

Maybe they meant they were together as running mates. Who’s the favorite conservative Republic?
Left and Lefter.
Some choice.
The American people demand wishy washy, golf pants, moderate mediocrity. Anything else racist.
It’s just name recognition. I think Romney has the good sense not to try again.
I bet half of Carson’s patients can’t remember his name, but he comes in second in a national poll? Yeh right.
Out of a country of over 300 million people, is this the best we can come up with? The usual batch of political hacks, retreads and relatives? No wonder our country is in such bad shape.
He’s not running. He’s keeping the seat warm until Jeb announces his run. Romney knows he can’t win but he’s putting himself out there so the RINOS and the establishment can go wild. When he announces he’s not running he’ll publicly support Jeb and all the money and organization Mitt would’ve had will all go to the next in line of the Bush Dynasty. The reality is Jeb Bush is a serious presidential candidate no matter what we think. I personally hope it’s Ted Cruz or Scott Walker but Bush will have a ton of money, and I’m afraid Cruz and Walker will be running shoestring campaigns.
Name recognition, that is all.
“What difference does it make?!”
100% Loser Ticket: Romney / Clinton 2016!
If you all thought Obama was bad, I think Hillary is going to be even worse if she is elected in 2016.
I always knew Hillary was unqualified and overrated, but after seeing those book tour interviews, I was floored on just how poorly spoken she is. Those were friendly interviews with network people that are trying to get her elected. Yet, she still stuck her foot in her mouth and looked stupid. Heck, even Obama can come away from friendly network softball interviews without messing up.
It does appear that the Republicans have no clear front runner for President. What about Perry(who did well governing Texas) Walker of Wisconsin? What is their baggage?
We know where they pulled that pole out of. I wouldn't touch it if I were you...
CNN: Credibility? HA!!!
Another way to ask would be “who in this field have you ever heard of?”
” Republican voters aren’t ready to give up on the idea just yet”
Yes we are!
Well that takes care of the democrat ticket.
There, navyguy. Fixed it for you. The media pretends to speak for the American people but in fact, it only speaks for a minority of American people. Leftists and liberals are a minority in America -- it's why Democrats have to cheat.
What the MSM demands and what the American people demand are very different from each other -- it's just that the MSM has the loudest and biggest megaphone. Even so, the MAJORITY of Americans think the MSM is full of crap.
Fair point and well said! Cheers!
