Republican early voting increases before Louisiana's Dec. 6 runoff

The number of people who cast their ballots early in Louisiana dropped off from the Nov. 4 primary election to the Dec. 6 runoff election in every statewide category except one: registered Republican voters.

About 85,900 registered Republicans took advantage of early voting for the Dec. 6 runoff. That's almost 3,000 more than voted early for the Nov. 4 election, and amounts to a 4 percent bump in early voting overall from a month ago.

The jump in early Republican voters is noteworthy, given that early voting overall dropped by 10 percent from the November primary to the December runoff. The number of registered Democrats who voted early fell even further -- about an 18 percent decrease -- from the primary to the runoff, according to information provided by the Secretary of State's office.

Still, the biggest decline in early voters statewide happened among African Americans, who have typically backed Landrieu. The number of black voters casting early ballots fell by 24 percent from the Nov. 4 election period to the Dec. 6 election period.

Orleans Parish also saw a 25 percent drop in early voting from the Nov. 4 primary to the Dec. 6 runoff, though Orleans early voting is -- for the most part -- still much higher than it typically has been.

Landrieu relied heavily on Orleans Parish to put her into first place during the November primary. She beat Cassidy in Orleans by nearly 80,000 votes, despite beating him statewide by only 16,250 votes.

The Republican stronghold of St. Tammany Parish, meanwhile, has recorded an increase in the number of people voting early from primary to the runoff. Approximately 17,000 St. Tammany residents voted early for the Dec. 6 election, compared with 16,000 before the Nov. 4 election.

Voters in Louisiana.........the upcoming defeat of Obamabot adoree, Democrat, Senator Mary Landrieu has to be so massive, the that rest of the country will be taken back in shock at the defeat of Landrieu/Obama.

The racist, African-American extremists & their “Obamabot” communist supporters, fawning over Obamabot, thug, proved, would be cop killer and punk bully, Michael Brown...needs to be refuted by the voters of Louisiana by massive numbers of vote against Mary Landrieu. The Obama media is covering up for these would be American destroyers.

Michael Brown got exactly what he deserved, under the law!!! You play with fire...you get burned!!! Vote to politically destroy both Mary Landrieu and POTUS, Barack Hussein (I love my brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood) Obama!!!

Please turn out and vote in huge numbers against Mary Landrieu, next Saturday, December 6, 2014 and send the message to Obama and his vermin Democrat Party.....that America has had it with these low life destroyers of the American Republic!!!

Louisana voters do not let up. Anything less than a 15% win will be characterized as a ‘moral victory’ against the Republican wave. Do not doubt me on this.

BUMP!

Also vote for Eric Skrmetta for PSC in Jefferson Parish and surrounding areas. His opponent is an “Obama Republican”.
