They felt sad, having to write it.
The GOP - how dare they - not only win an election but they take on the Democrats’ game preserve.
That’s not how its done.
The 60’s radicals ar going to die off soon. They have no bench. It’s like the politburo.
The GOP has a deep bench of future House, Senate and presidential talent.
This alarms the Democrats because its going to be very difficult for them to get candidates to run who are willing to serve decades in the minority and grow old before they can taste power.
For the GOP, on the other hand, the sky’s the limit.

There are more and more opportunities for creative conservative politicians to find and exploit these increasing fault lines.

And therein lies the problem with politicians. They are NOT there to vote their conscience; they are supposed to represent the people. Until we can get rid of that mind set, nothing we do will have any impact.
