". .. in a meritocratic system, whites would be a minority"

The author expounds on fairness and then this line which flies in the face of the entire opinion piece.

If they weren’t racially biased, I doubt Barack Hussein Obama would have ever gotten into their law school. He’s a quota boy.

On the subject of Asians as a protected minority vis a vis the “Diversity Goal”, blacks, Hispanics and other protected minorities (according to our pandering government) actually upset the narrative. They are (on general) too smart, too hard working and too competitive - something that belies the whole “Diversity Narrative”.

IOW, the just mess up the diversity ‘curve’ and that cannot be tolerated because the others have to work too hard to compete in anything other than their color or religion.

Harvard likes to fill out the bottom half of their classes with blacks, minorities and smart middle class kids.

It's not a favor ... The kids in the bottom half of classes are sacrificed to the top half (sons and daughters of white liberal elites) - so liberal elites will feel superior AND condescending at the same time. Helps make them more successful.

It's sick.

He wouldn’t have gotten Ito Occidental. By far he’s the dumbest SOB ever to occupy the White House. And his Marxist praetorian guard are no smarter.

As recognized by the Supreme Court, schools have an interest in recruiting a “critical mass” of minority students to obtain “the educational benefits that flow from a diverse student body.”

Those alleged"educational benefits" have never been proven by any rigorous means. The same excuse has been offered for turning high schools that had been all-boys or all-girls into coed institutions.

I am a proud graduate of Stuyvesant H.S. in NYC which was all-boys when I graduated (in 1965) and went coed a few short years later. Admission was (and still is) based solely on the results of one entrance exam. In my day, the preponderance of students were Jewish. Today, they are Asian.

Did the fact that my high school classes had no girls, a mere handful of Blacks and an equal dearth of Latinos seriously harm the education we received there? The number of doctors, lawyers, scientists, and captains of industry who attended classes there would prove otherwise. Arguments to the contrary would start with the fact that Dick Morris and Eric Holder, not to mention Jerry Nadler, were educated in the 1960s at Stuyvesant as well.

New York City Mayor deCommie-o is trying to change the method of admissions at Stuyvesant, Bronx Science and other meritocracies into one that is "more inclusive." In the current political climate, the destruction of that small portion of NYC schools that "work" will probably take place.

According to the article, blacks are admitted at 12%, Hispanics at 13% and Asians at 20%. From other sources one can find that around 30% of those admitted are Jews. Total = 75%.

This means that white gentiles are admitted at the lowest rate of any group.

Of course, a lot of the roughly 25% white gentiles admitted are legacies. I suspect there are very, very few non-elite white gentiles admitted to Harvard. Very few indeed from the South. from working class families or conservative backgrounds.

If his Islamic Saudi pal didn’t start the campaign to get him into Harvard law school, he would have never gotten in.

What about Michelle? If I had graduated from Harvard Law, I’d want my money back.

". .. in a meritocratic system, whites would be a minority"

Depending on how you define "meritocratic," the author is quite right.

In 2008, over half of all applicants to Harvard with exceptionally high SAT scores were Asian.

If only test scores were considered, then, Asians would be a majority, most of the rest whites, probably at least half of those Jews, and there would be very few indeed of Hispanics and blacks.

More interestingly, as I show in a post above, gentile whites are already a smallish minority at Harvard, about 25%, somewhere around 1/3 their percentage of the population.

This is the direct result of insisting that no "minority group" be under-represented, no matter how poor their performance, while high-achieving minority groups like Jews and Asians not be kept out. Inevitable result is that members of the majority group will be systematically excluded.

If whites would be a minority, blacks would be a curiousity.

Found another data point.

“International students” are about 10% at Harvard. Now there is no doubt some overlap to black, Hispanic and Asian here, but it probably bring the percentage of white gentile Americans down even lower.

The real problem is that, in a meritocratic system, whites would be a minority — and Harvard just isn’t comfortable with that.

You are correct - the comment was idiotic. In fact, there would be a lot more Asians, but almost zero blacks and hispanics.

Harvard is anti-Semitic. Why wouldn’t it discriminate against Asians, who defy all the professors racial theories?

Right, Harvard, where ~30% of the students are Jewish, at least 15x their percentage of the population, is anti-Semitic.

And a very large percentage of the faculty. Don’t know the numbers.
