A popular bike path became the scene of a gruesome murder late Thursday when a life insurance executive was killed while running near her Connecticut home.
Melissa Millan, 54, a triathlete and mother of two, was found stabbed at about 8 p.m. in the Hartford suburb of Simsbury, Conn.
Police have stepped up patrols of the bike path and scoured the area on Saturday, but no suspect has been named and the murder weapon has not been recovered, WFSB reported.
Millan, a senior vice president who had been with MassMutual Financial Group since 2001, was transported to an area hospital, where she died. The medical examiner said Millan was stabbed in the chest.

She was in CT. The insurance company is Mass Mutual, from Springfield MA. She was a Sr VP.
Evidently stabbed in the chest last night. The area was pretty well known, public, and in a very safe town.

As mentioned, that is not the case. There is absolutely no public transportation in Simsbury, and the nearest ghetto area is 30 miles away in Hartford.
The parking lot across from where she was found would have been packed with Mercedes, Audis, and Porsches on Sunday night.

We assume that any relationship to the famous Italian family carrying that last name is purely accidental.
In fact, the town is widely known as, “Sims-Boring” as in, it is a sleepy little bedroom community where NOTHING happens.
This is a big deal in that town.
You see many more blacks and hispanics on TV than you ever would on the streets of Simsbury.
I wouldn't think a jogger would have much worth robbing and these types of communities don't usually let the ferals roam about freely. Senseless and savage murder does point to the bigoted underclass but I know in situations like this the cops always take a good look at husbands, lovers, business partners, etc.

WOW. I worked for/with MassMutual for 31 years, was back to Springfield many, many times.
I hope they find who did this.
Yes it does read like “Connecticut Life” employee but the poor gal was a Mass Mutual person living in Ct as many do.
Looks like Springfield may have been safer than quite little Simsbury
