Many of Lois Lerners missing e-mails may no longer be missing.
The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration told several congressional committees on Friday that it has recovered as many as 30,000 of the ex-Internal Revenue Service officials messages from disaster recovery tapes, according to congressional aides who participated in a briefing on the matter.
IRS Commissioner John Koskinen testified in June that the e-mails were lost after Lerners hard drive crashed in 2011. He said the agency tried unsuccessfully to retrieve the records with help from agency IT and forensic experts.
Koskinen acknowledged the existence of disaster recovery tapes but said the IRS didnt try to retrieve Lerners e-mails from them because they only contained six months worth of data and because the process would have been extremely difficult, partly due to the amount of information on the tapes.

They’ll be ones where she’s Nice and Complimentary to the Tea Party!! Or where she says she’s really a Republican! They will find NOTHING that hasn’t been SCRUBBED CLEAN!!!!
All sweet and clean now after the rain.
They had these emails the second they knew theyd be asked for them, no matter what anyone says.
Whats taken so long has been the combing through them all, removing the bad stuff, making sure timelines and discussions between people seem coherent and continuous.
All Kibuki theater for all us stupid, knuckle-dragging conservatives.
There will be a few that raise eyebrows (for theatric effect), but nothing will come of it. NOTHING.......
He will probably be found is some park with bullet in the back of his head.
30,000! Boy she must really have a lot of “Friends” on social media!/s
6 months, 30,000 e-mails? She must get some serious spam.
Oops.
The "Inspector General's Message to Congress" identifies him as J. Russell George. He's a black man...how long before he gets Walpined? He's clearly off the plantation.
The "Highlights" section of the Message to Congress lists "Examples of High-Profile Cases by the Office of Investigations." The five examples are shown below. Judge for yourself how these "High-Profile" cases stack up against the IRS Lerner email and Tea Party corruption.

The ONLY proper answer to that is what the IRS would have said to anyone under audit: “I don’t give a damn how hard it is — produce them!”
Excellent analysis...dead right, too. It takes time to pull out the incriminating mails and make sure the rest of them work together.
mark it down: we will find valerie jarrett at the heart of this thing.
The sad thing is that if direct involvement between Lois Lerner and the white house was discovered, and reported by the major networks, 40% of voters would still approve of Obola...
I always figure that e-mails (and FR posts ) are forever.
30000/180 days = 167 e-mails a day. In my line of work, I get nearly that many every day I'm working, and I'm basically a schlub; a regional administrator for the IRS could easily get that many, probably more.
They can just fire up that secret time machine in the White House basement (next to the Rovian weather machine)
I only works in 2 dimensions....so would be good to spool out all those "lost" e-mails.....
Here it is printing out Obama's BC......
