Let's remember that just months ago, Kevin Trudeau was sentenced to prison for making ... well, not really FALSE health care claims, but MISLEADING health care claims in the literature he published.
From the Chicago Tribune:
>>>Trudeau has been jailed since Nov. 12 when he was convicted by a federal jury of criminal contempt for lying in several infomercials about the contents of his hit book, The Weight Loss Cure 'They' Don't Want You to Know About. Prosecutors said he ignored a previous court order by describing the program as easy when it actually called for punishing calorie restrictions and a crippling list of food restrictions.<<<
Kevin said it was EASY, when it was actually kind of HARD. Off to prison with him!
Well, Jonathan Gruber, in HIS book (a comic book, reflecting his view of the Average American), said this: "And there's also a strong 'Grandfather' provision that allows you to keep your current policy if you like it ... Even if it doesn't meet minimum standards."
Well, um, Jonathan ... That simply isn't TRUE. It isn't even a matter of being EASY or HARD. Jonathan ... it simply isn't TRUE.
Is Kevin Trudeau somehow DIFFERENT than Jonathan Gruber? In what way? Because Trudeau was misleading people in the private sector, while Gruber was misleading people while backed by a government contract?
When will Jonathan Gruber be arrested? I'm sure Kevin Trudeau would like to know.
Thanks!
good point
Government sector or private sector ... Do we have two definitions for publishing fraud?
Johnathan Gruber isn’t the culprit, he’s the tool. The culprit is the Democratic party.
The Gruber SHOULD be INDICTED under the RICO ACT!!
I don’t know why a snake oil salesman like Trudeau would ever get involved with something like health or food that can end up hurting people and lead to lawsuits. Just sell your memory tapes and if people find out they don’t work, they’ll say, “Dang, that’s $30 I’ll never see again!” When they follow your “medical” advice and get sick, that’s when they come after you.
Gruber won’t be convicted of anything after the emporer issues an edict preventing him from prosecution.
NICE COMPARISON. Hits the nail right on the head.
