IMHO: Radical Progressive Environmentalism will cost power in the Senate and may bring the Democratic Party down.

With Landrieu's very probable defeat, power shifts to in the Senate away from the RINOs. Obama is going to have a much harder time getting anything past the Senate. Why did they do it?

The American people are crying out for Jobs and the Democrats clearly are clearly exposed as job opposers. And the Unions will be ticked because many of these would have been union jobs. Why are they doing this?

The fix was in - Reid stacked the vote so that Landrieu would lose.

The inimitable hairy just flexing his puny muscles to let everybody know he’s still in charge for a little while longer. As far as all the euphoria over the gop-e “wave”, you gotta consider that the next elections in ‘16 there’s a lot of “R” seats up for grabs. That gives the dhimmiokkkrats a lot of time to crank up the rhetoric and money printing presses. Be vigilant my friends.

If Landrieu honestly believed that passing the Keystone bill would saver her sorry ass for being defeated in the runoff then she’s delusional.

So let me ask the Freeper community to read the tea leaves.
Does this mean that there will be enough votes with the new Congress?

Now she’s worse off = Cassidy can now point to this failure as evidence of Mary’s total lack of influence in the Senate.

Obama threatened to veto it anyway, so even if it passed, it was an effort in futility — except that it got Dems on the record as voting for or against.

When the issue resurfaces early next year, the Pubbie majority plus some Dems might have enough to override an Obama veto.

Its time for Mary to unleash on the Senate Dems. At this point, even she knows she’s going to lose so why not start unloading on them in speeches on the Senate floor? I guess she won’t because it would jeopardize that high-paying lobbyist job she’s probably angling for at this point.

Princess High Cheekbones was presiding over the Senate when the vote was taken. In the gallery were some Native American protesters chanting in their language. Fox News showed Senator Elizabeth Warren, in the President’s chair, looking up at the protesters. That’s when my wife hollered at the TV, “Translate, Elizabeth, translate!”

The 59-41 Senate vote was just shy of the 60 votes needed to pass the bill . . .

Horsecrap! The bill would have passed on a 51-49 vote. But it wasn't a bill at all. It was a procedural motion to bring the bill up for debate and it was Harry Reid who insisted on the 3/5th thresh hold as one of his final vile acts as Senate Majority Leader.

I heard a suggestion that Keystone will be passed int the new congress and signed by the president in a Boehner/McConnell deal to give the Sultan a pass on fiat Amnesty and be proclaimed a Great Victory for the Republicans. Both actions would be victories for the Republicans, though not for conservatives or the people.

Scam vote alert. I wonder how many vulnerable dems were ‘allowed” to vote for, as long as they didn’t get to that magical ‘60th’ vote.
