The king will veto it. Then things will get interesting.

Dems will cross over and vote for it, because they know Obama will veto it.

What were the cloture votes that allowed it to reach the floor?
Floor votes are mostly meaningless, except to lo-info voters.

He has to veto it, otherwise he shot it down for 6 years then concedes to the mandate of the midterm election? No way.

When Dem senators think of themselves(which is always) wonder how many really want to vote against it. Will be interesting, and one to save for 2 years, the next election. In private the dems are scared. Results will be surprising, I hope.

It will lose by one vote and will show the people in Louisiana that Mary Fatchick Landrieu has no clout among the Democrats in the Senate. After all, if all the Republicans vote for it she only needs to persuade 14 Democrats to vote for it so she can claim to have cast the deciding vote. There are 55 Democrats in the Senate so not being able to convince 14 of the 54 other Democrats would say that she has a clout factor in her caucus of about 25%.

I doubt it. Harry “the body” Reid wouldn’t hold the vote if they didn’t have them.

they could abstain....aka....present
To: Fledermaus
Yes they think the low information voters will be impressed that Landrieu is in favor of the pipeline. And will Vite for her in the runoff due to this. It all seems staged to me, but, what do I know of “optics”????
To: Mr. K
Exactly, this is just a show for Mary Landreiu.

I watched a lot of the debate this afternoon. Sen Barbara (call me senator) Boxer (RAT-CA) was particularly odious and obnoxious

I’m watching on FNC just to see if they pan to Cruz. His expression usually portends the outcome.
