Steve Rattner: Jonathan Gruber was 'the man' on Obamacare

Jonathan Gruber was “the man” behind Obamacare, according to a former adviser to President Barack Obama.

“The problem is not that Gruber helped them put Obamacare together, because he was the man,” Steve Rattner, who worked as Obama’s lead adviser in 2009 for the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“The problem is what he said in the last two weeks and how the White House has handled it,” Rattner added.

Rattner said his influence was enormous.

“Jonathan Gruber was, back in the day in 2009, the guru on health care,” said Rattner, who was known as the “car czar” when he worked in the administration. “I remember that when I was in the White House, he was certainly viewed as an important figure in helping to put Obamacare together.”

Back when Obamacare was being discussed before being voted on I thought of a perfect visual of how it had been put together.

It was as if they had set up a computer in an office somewhere in the Capitol and told everyone if you have an idea you want to add just put it in the computer. Sorta like a kitchen sink approach. Yeah throw that in to, we'll see where we can fit it. Then someone had to collate all the ideas and somehow turn it into a bill.

But someone had to take the jumbled mess and make some sense out of it and form the words so that it would fool enough politicians so that it would get passed. That is where Gruber fits in.

Now that the demoncraps have a person to blame, just wait until they all turn on him. Hell, somebody has got to be blamed for them losing so much in DC.
