The Ferguson Police Department has already determined its next steps as the world waits for a verdict from the grand jury in Darren Wilsons case.
Tensions in Ferguson are on a rolling boil as Michael Browns supporters get ready to protest should the grand jury decide to clear Darren of charges related to the unarmed teens shooting death.
His fellow officers are also preparing for that possibility. Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson has told Yahoo! News that the Darren would immediately be put back on active duty should he not be indicted for gunning down the college-bound teen during an altercation in August.
The Ferguson police force has seemingly been ready to welcome Darren back at any moment as the officer has been on paid leave since he killed Michael. Tom also voiced his opinion that, despite the shooting, Darren is a good cop and a good man. Millions of people would disagree with that view.
Although Darren could basically return to work any day now (pending the grand jurys decision), its not clear where he would be working as Tom hadnt decided on an assignment for him as of Friday.
This might make it seem like Darren could potentially get off scott-free, but one law professional interviewed by Yahoo! News thinks hell be paying a psychological and emotional cost for years to come.
Hes always going to be dealing with the emotional scars of the event itself, not to mention the scrutiny hes gone through, said Dallas attorney Bob Gorsky. Its going to be a tough situation for him. Hopefully the department will support him if hes not charged with a crime.

> Dude is a dead man walking if he goes back on the streets. Some thug will be looking to make a name for himself by taking his life.
^ this. If I were him I’d move to another location and choose another profession...
Do you notice how the article keeps referring to him as Darren rather than Officer Wilson? Belittling him, lack of respect. Seems I remember the media doing that a lot with a certain Alaskan Governor.
What I fear is that they'll take this one huge step further than with Zimmerman and go after family and maybe even friends of Wilson. It would be bad enough to have to watch your every step. But threats to family members? This time, the radicals plan to make a violent point.
The Driveby’s have never paid a price for all previous race baiting attempts. They ruin lives and never felt any remorse

Be prepared for this grand jury to hand down an indictment, regardless of the evidence, as they are no doubt terrorized by the threats of the urban savages (including, by association, implied threats from a well-known former "community organizer" who has recently counselled them).
He and his entire family need to get out of Dodge permanently. Grow a beard, change your name. There will be people hunting him down for years to come.
Back on the job just in time for riot duty.
I understand the local police won’t be at these protests rather the state and national Guard.....as well other city police outside the area...these won’t be local cops as the threats to them have been great.
.... related to the unarmed teens shooting death ...
The ungruberized version is “the strong armed robbery subject who was shot while struggling to take an officers weapon” shooting death.
Officer Wilson is a genuine hero...and a Texan!
I’d bet he ends up in Texas. If I was him, I’d go to Texas and have a good life.
Yup. I said it earlier.
I have a gut feeling the cop is going to be indicted.
All of this baloney build up is for show.
>>>Darren would immediately be put back on active duty should he not be indicted for gunning down the college-bound teen during an altercation in August.<<<
College bound - right.
Just a normal kid who studied hard in high school, was on the basketball and track team, had the same girlfriend for four years who he wants to marry and have 6 children, and live a peaceable life in the Show-Me state.
Oh, and he dreams of being the first man on Mars someday.
They should have a community welcoming parade for him through downtown Ferguson.
Maybe not.
What I am hoping for is:
1. No true bill, and then
2. City pays him off to leave town quietly.
3. He changes appearance and name and is hired by some other city, hopefully one with a solid majority of supporters.
There are exceptions.. to every rule..
