We don’t have huge numbers of Canadians illegally crossing the border, because they have a decent economy.
Why is there a lack of sufficient economic opportunity in Mexico and multiple Central and South American countries? That’s a rhetorical question, but one that should be asked repeatedly when dealing with the leadership of those countries. Instead of being ‘blackmailed’ by them economically, we should be letting their own people know what their governments are doing that is corrupt and preventing economic opportunity.
