At a press conference in southeast Asia, Obama was asked the question in the title. He was also asked if he had been informed by DOJ about the legal authority of his proposed actions. Obama said he had been informed, and when asked if he would share that info, he said NO.

Question rephrased: “You are aware, that, under U.S. laws, you are an elected, with a term limit, President, and not a king or sovereign, ARE YOU NOT?”
In the years I spent in Southeast Asia, the discussions that I had with Chinese vendors about Nixon coming to China, were very fruitful. They looked upon our system of electing Presidents, as a baby nation, and still attempting to define our roots, until we have decided that we should have -a- leader for life, as they have had, over the millenia.

For a reporter to ask such a question is foolish. Did he think he would get the truth?
A president can have nearly unlimited power, given the right circumstances - are there any checks and balances on him when martial law is declared?
A president can be voted out of office, a king/emperor must be forced out. That's what popped into my mind when I read the story, I bet Obama was thinking the same.
Obama's very disturbed---maybe deranged. We are all in danger every minute this seething mass of hatred holds onto power. He was decisively trounced and rejected at midterms. Now he's paranoid----frantic to do something---anything--- to feed his monumental ego.

(1) Fund every penny that is budgeted now.....except defund all DHS, ICE, HHS and USCIS' rubber-stamp activities. Defund anything and everything that directly and indirectly deals with amnesty: work permits, green cards for illegals, gravy train subsidies, re-situating unaccompanied minors w/ families. Then let Obama defend his amnesty E/O or take the blame for the entire shutdown himself.
(2) As a further warning----no votes on ANY Obama nominees until Jan 20, 2017. No judges, No Attorney General, no sub-cabinet secretaries. NOTHING----thanks to the SCOTUS ruling, Obama could not recess-appoint ANYONE, if the House declares the Congress is always in session.
