Poll commissioned by GOP candidate's campaign shows massive advantage leading up to Dec. 6 runoff Win by GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy would bring total Republican pickup to a whopping 10 seats Landrieu is hoping a long-awaited vote on the Keystone XL pipeline will improve her fortunes Poll was leaked in Washington to send a message to energy lobbyists who think she can prevail Survey is an 'automated' phone poll that Landrieu's campaign considers less credible than traditional surveys conducted by voice 'Her campaign is running on fumes,' the pollster told MailOnline

Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu is trailing her Republican challenger by a giant 16-point margin in a runoff for one of Louisiana's two U.S. Senate seats, according to poll results obtained by MailOnline.

The survey, commissioned by GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy's campaign, was leaked to media in order to fire a shot over the senator's bow and send a signal to energy lobbyists that her ship is taking on water.

It suggests that Democrats' worst fears have been realized even though Landrieu edged Casssidy by 1 percentage point on Election Day.

Despite her big lead among African-Americans (88.8% Landrieu/7.2% Cassidy), African-Americans have only represented 30 plus percent of the electorate twice in the past 14 years: 2008 (30%) and 2012 (31%). POE= Percent of Electorate on Election Day

Cassidy needs to campaign against amnesty. Amnesty will hurt black employment more than anything else in the next few years. They probably won't vote for him, but they can stay home, and Cassidy will have an opportunity to drive a wedge between democrat votors.

I am reliably told that the New Orleans area black leaders are furious at Landrieu because she didn’t put out enough “street money” last week to get out the vote. She spent all of it on TV.

And now she’s out of money.

Republicans need to make a serious attempt to reach out to blacks, including southern blacks, Detroit, and Chicago. They can certainly make the case that democrats haven’t done anything for them, and can’t do anything for them now. If they convert even 20%, they can get more congressional districts and possible two states, Michigan and Illinois. Amnesty is a gift for accomplishing that.

I think it would make 9 seats, not 10.

So where's the OTHER pantsuited pig these days, during Mary's hour of crisis?

Nothing but crickets, when you could be lending your great "prestige" to a struggling fellow dem, eh, Hillary? Only one (Jeanne Shaheen) of 10 candidates you openly endorsed won last Tuesday came away with a win.. so c'mon Hillary-- break that losing streak and put your ample weight behind PIAPS2!

For her health, she needs to leave the Senate. That Senate dining room must be full of unhealthy cuisine. Someone call Moochelle Obama.

New to the Senate:

Maybe it is, but the LSM is showing it to be a lost cause so Repubs don’t turnout to vote.
