Say I am held up or mugged and manage to wrestle the gun out of the hands of the attacker. I guess all I can do is pistol whip him or take the gun home and use it as a door stop eh? What if I have oil on my hands and the gun won’t unlock when I am attacked and I get beat so badly I can never work Again. Can I sue the gun manufacturer out of existence? Wht if I won’t to buy a gun from someone else used?

You know they hvent’t thought of ny of this because the rel idea is to get us to agree to AnYTHING that changes the gun laws so they can topple the house. They don’t want to implement biometric gun controls. They just won’t to open the dialog so they cn take them away completely. When are people going to figure this out (other than FRpers)?

“We want to use the power of the marketplace, the power of the free market,” New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson said.

No, they're using the power of GOVERNMENT to disarm the citizens.

Fourth Amendment, anyone?

Once the police, FBI and Secret Service all field test and deploy as their only firearms, we can start the discussion. Do you think any of them will trust their life (or the life of their protectees) to this technology? Guessing not....

“Pressuring?” Cops pressuring?
Hmmm. In another day and age, I think the correct words would be “extort” or maybe “intimidate.”
The cops need to lose their jobs and be charged for malfeasance.

Glock is manufactured in Georgia so they are not under any pressure to mass produce a smart gun. Leave it to the Blaxe to spread the panic. :-)

Have Gruber and MIT been ‘advising’ the cops? This smells of totalitarian tricks...

Far be it from me to be a party poop, but if the only people enthusiastic about your product are those who would never buy it in the first place, maybe it’s time to reconsider your business model.

I have no problem if they mandate that the POLICE use “safe” guns. Up until now, every place something obnoxious or dangerous is legislated, the police are made exempt. This would be the opposite. The police can then decide if they want to remain working there and trust their life to “advanced” technology.

“We want to use the power of the marketplace, the power of the free market,” New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson said.

I don't see what connexion this sentence has with the rest of the story.
