Yup
China Mart.
That’s funny.
I just went to Aldi’s an hour ago while the Sirloin was on the grill. They have boneless pork butte for $199# . That is a pretty good price. Not as good as I got fourteen months ago, huge overstock blowout sale, they bought too much and where selling it for $.89#, but still at least $1 cheaper than even the normal bone in.
Instituting a "business-casual" standard would be nice.
The same people own Trader Joe’s
Nobody reads paper letters any more. Too much effort to sort it out from the junk mail.
Marc’s is the bomb! They are super. They blow away Giant Eagle. They also have a great close-out section. Some of the stuff in Aisle one is practically being given away. Rarely as much as Walmart.
When it comes to Wal-Mart...I never go to the front door. I always enter and exit through the Auto Service Center or the Garden Center.
I don’t mix with the FSA if I can avoid it.
Food stamps where lowered a small amount last year. For example if you had been getting say $750 per month, you where cut back to $719 per month. A reduction of around 4%. Most people wouldn’t even notice.
When we visit up there, we always hit Marcs.
It used to be called Bernie Shulmans back in the 70s.
Marc Glassman was one of his lieutenants and bought him out.
You’re correct, we still spend incredible amounts of money on Food Stamps. The growth EXPLODED when Barry Soetoro took charge in 2009 through 2013, and then all it did was level off slightly. It seems like the WalMart millionaires expected the steep increases every year.
Aldi is awesome. They get about half of our grocery budget every month.
“Their meat is expensive and poor quality.”
No, it is not. It is exactly the same meat you get at any chain grocery store. It all comes from the same place (I am referring to meat, not seafood).
The brands and packing houses are the same, and the prices are known to be better than name brand chain grocery stores. The days of a professional butcher in your local supermarket are all but gone.
Soon, they will be the only place we can shop. Only one bank coming soon.
100% of Food Stamp money is provided by the Federal Govt. Look it up. "administered by the state's" is simply more make work jobs for state employees dolling out the freebies.
I just read an article by an economist who is predicting some very bad economic gloom on the horizon. He said people have lulled into the belief that things are actually improving, when in reality the End Game is already in motion. He said Food Stamps mask the real poverty and, yes, the economic depression we are really in.
I’m happy to see the word is out on ALDI. I hope folks out here check them out. Don’t forget to bring a quarter to put into the shopping cart....you get the quarter back when you return the cart.
And it’s 40% fake money too, created by the Fed.
But the discussion was about the EBT crowd plugging up the aisles at WalMart in Florida.
And that’s a problem the states CAN fix at no cost.
Actually, food stamps went down in 2012(?) as the bail out program ended. Now stamp amounts are going back up. Don’t know where the new money is coming from.
Yup. He has expanded quite a bit since then. He has around sixty stores in the Metro Cleveland a couple in the Columbus area and four Xpect Drug & Grocery stores in of all Places, Connecticut. He is a pretty bright guy. A little strange though.
Yep, and 90% of those shopping in Walmart fit the libdem profile.
Crazy, in'it?
