THE leadership of the Islamic State death cult has been decimated after a series of targeted US-led air strikes, which reportedly left leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi with critical injuries.
The 43-year-old caliph last week named on the Forbes most powerful list was critically wounded, according to the Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya news agency.
US officials confirmed a convoy of 10 armed trucks had been struck near Mosul and other IS units had been targeted but could not verify whether al-Baghdadi had been injured during the Friday night strikes. The US State Departments $10 million reward for information on al-Baghdadi, also known as Abu Dua, remains outstanding.
There were also conflicting reports on the final site of the strikes believed to involve al-Baghdadi. Tribal sources said senior IS leaders including al-Baghdadi had been meeting in the western Iraqi border town of al-Qaim about 420km from Mosul. Anbar province MP Mohammad al-Karbouli said coalition aircraft had targeted an IS gathering in a home in al-Qaim, which reportedly left dozens injured. IS fighters cleared a local hospital to help treat the wounded and called for supporters to donate blood. Several al-Baghdadi followers rejected reports of his wounding on Twitter yesterday afternoon.
Al-Baghdadis death would be a significant blow to the death cult, which declared him leader in 2010 and which has swept through large areas of Iraq and Syria. Regarded as one of the worlds most powerful militants, al-Baghdadi was the former preacher who said his terror army would march on Rome an analogy for the West in general...

We've got spies in the land.
I don’t understand why we allow any travel on the roads between towns within the Caliphate.
Wow, he got critically wounded *again*?!? Don’t sit next to his ass at dinner, particularly at these weddings we keep bombing.
Identifying the SEAL who shot bin Laden, thus reminding everyone what a big strong leader we have, and just before the election, didn’t have the desired impact.
This latest critical injury story is just damage control, with the added kicker of justifying the withdrawal of the US from the fight against ISIS (US participation was minimal anyway, just some cover-his-ass by Zero, again, to have an impact on the election).
Want a real enemy islamist bigshot?
Arrest that SOB in the White House.
Obama take Credit yet ?
Is this the third or fourth time that we supposedly have bagged this ISIS POS?
Remember our experiences in Iraq.
Saddam Hussein was killed several times before he was captured. -Tom
“Remember our experiences in Iraq.

Osama had similiar experiences until he was finally bagged.
Don’t worry, al Baghdadi will be shipped to Turkey and they’ll save him...
I don’t understand why anyone should be allowed to survive our air strikes.
So, there are conflicting reports. Either he is with his virgins, or still here minus some body parts... Time will tell.
They recovered his beard maybe... So now the cloning begins...
Dear ISIS Board of Directors, save your money and don’t hire the next Caliph for a long term contract. Looks like “Caliph” will be a short term job.
Exactly. My taxes pay for those missiles and I expect results.
Obama is polishing his resume.
With that half bil they looted from Iraq banks, ISIS can afford the best talent.
if they recovered his beard then shouldnt his b i g pumpkin head be laying around somewhere within a 5 mile radius :-)
Mike
Too bad al-Baghdadi doesn’t have specific identifying possessions that would give us the definitive that he’d been splashed. Some years ago, the Israelis took out a senior leader of HAMAS and were able to ID a mangled wheel from his wheelchair as evidence they got him. His biological unit went up in a pink mist.
