There’s obvious and then there’s painfully obvious. And in the case of Al Sharpton declaring that Tuesday’s resounding defeat for his party was not the fault of an unpopular president nor inept candidates, but of Hillary and Bill Clinton, it’s painfully obvious where the activist/host/liaison is getting his marching orders are coming from:
Valerie Jarrett.
As he’s enjoyed mentioning in the past, Sharpton has a direct line to the White House. He’s visited numerous times, trades daily emails with Ms. Jarrett. So when the Democrats went down in flames three days ago, guess who President Obama met with the next day? Not Mitch McConnell, not John Boehner, not DNC Chairwoman (for now) Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Instead, it’s was MSNBC’s ratings — challenged 6:00 p.m. host (along with other civil rights leaders), a White House official had confirmed. On the docket–because Sharpton is obviously an expert in all of these things — was Obamacare implementation, education and criminal justice. Speaking of criminal (in)justice, just what is Tawana Brawley up to these days?
Per the White House communication team: “The President also highlighted how we are looking forward to working with the leaders over the next two years to advance these and other crucial issues facing the country.”
It appears Sharpton must have been in the bathroom during the whole working-with-other-leaders part, as he proceeded to stage an upside down protest (seen here) of Republicans on his show yesterday.
If you’re wondering why the President seems to be getting nothing but bad advice these days with the likes of Plouffe, Axelrod and Gibbs gone, or how this administration has become such a rudderless ship with no port, look no further to the kind of people Mr. Obama is turning to for council in times of need.
For this part, Sharpton uses his national TV platform to attack the Clintons, who won’t be trading Christmas cards with Ms. Jarrett anytime in the next century. It all seems so nice and neat in retrospect: Sharpton goes to the White House and leaves with not an interview but instructions instead. Hillary and Bill’s coattails during this campaign season proved to be quite short…this is true. And with Hillary already distancing herself via blaming the president for not heeding her advice on ISIS while she was still Secretary of State, any bond between the Obamas/Jarrett and the Clintons is already likely long gone.
There’s obvious and painfully obvious.
Al Sharpton serving as a proxy soldier for the Obama White House is undoubtedly the latter.
Roughly 500,000 Americans watch some portion of MSNBC after 6PM. So, the audience....based on trends...grows fewer each single year (noted since 2007). When you look over the groups that watch MSNBC....it’s mostly the 18-to-30 year old group, and very few from the over-fifty crowd.
As much as some White House insider thinks there’s still value in MSNBC....I’d suggest to trend this out to 2016. Another 40,000 less viewers by then? The Comedy Networks efforts with Jon Stewart? Mostly maxed out now, and all aimed at the 18-to-25 year old crowd.
ABC, CBS, and NBC? They have all cut back on news staffs and looking at peaked audience from three years ago. Their ability to sell some audience is diminished.
Then you come to CNN. This year, they laid off a bunch of the big-players, and are regrouping to do an entirely different type of news business....mostly reality-news-documentary pieces. It’s a special crowd who’d watch that...the National Geographic Channel type crowd. Gaining on numbers? No. With all the changes...no upward trend. But they are saving money because they are working with the B-team currently....who’ve accepted lesser pay to be with a big-time network.
So, all in all...what message can the news mainstream liberal media now sell? Answer: just keep selling what you can...because that’s all you have to sell.
He was most likely there to discuss Fergeson . That and what narrative they want to push in the media about race.
I’m trying to think of a problem that Al Sharpton has solved.
In the end, they’l come together, saying this Elmer Fudd & allies vs. Clintons & allies was all a game to fool those evil Republicans.
Or, Elmer Fudd is preparing for a third term/President for Life.
The only problem Al has solved,...is how to lose weight.
He got a lot of white interlopers out of NYC.

was in New Orleans yesterday and listening some to an all black talk radio show. They made it sound like the GOP win was a full out attack on blacks. They were touting all the wonderful benefits of ObamaCare, the economy, ‘low’ unemployment and success against ISIS all benefits from Obama. White America voted against the blacks to keep them oppressed. They actually believe that crap. I was stunned..
Just wait until the vicious black communist Dems start the smear tactics (Uncle Tom’ing) against the good and decent Dr Ben Carson. More like evil vs good.

The leftist “black leaders” have successfully prevented most blacks from assimilating for decades now; they make a lot of money doing this. You would be shocked at the bizarre nonsense many blacks believe; many still believe GW Bush sent divers with explosives to flood New Orleans. Blacks today can’t help but notice they’ve fallen even further behind throughout Obama’s terms, and they’ve been told it was due to obstruction/interference by white devil Republicans.
There is no hope for a large majority of them, and the sooner one accepts that the easier it is to understand race relations. Never let down your guard; the black person next to you might have some frightening ideas of what you represent, and sometimes they act on them.
And the ever age old question corn or no corn.

A leftist once told me that Al Sharpton was on the fringes and had no influence in the Dem party. I knew she lied.
