An acquaintance of mine from there said that it was known as the McGovern Depression because of the leading role Sen. George McGovern (D-SD) took in killing Boeing's plans to build a supersonic transport aircraft.

I’ve done three deployments in this latest go-round, and you were always there. From mobilization through demobilization and beyond, my Vietnam brothers we with me every step of the way, with their over-riding message: Never Again Will Our Nation Turn Its Back On It’s Returning Veterans”.

The kids may not realize it today, but they will. Those of us who are older do understand, and appreciate it.

Once again, thank you!
And if I ever see you at the VFW or AmLeg, your drinks are on me.
