Very Simple method to attract more good voters:

Give every voter $25 tax deduction on their tax return. Only those who pay more than $25 in federal tax get it. They will come out of the wood work, and will eliminate more of those on government dole.

Oh yes, the Clintons are adored by democrats. Just visit DU. But while Billy Jefferson (BJ) Clinton is a superb politician, Hillary is not. She could’nt beat a senator with 2 year back bencher from US Senate.

The critical thing is GOP needs to nominate a savvy politician. Someone like Senator-elect Cory Gardner with a sunny personality, good looks on TV, and not getting in trouble with loads of gotcha questions. Please No Santorum, Romney, Jeb, etc.

"low voter participation — not the party's message — was the root of the problem."

I cannot imagine what led her to believe that the munchkins would come out for her.

“In a 75-minute call with the members of her caucus, the minority leader acknowledged the Democrats’ “terrible year” but argued that low voter participation — not the party’s message — was the root of the problem.”

Voter participation was the MESSAGE Democrats sent to their party - they couldn’t find anything worth voting for.

As to future elections, she better hope to hell that Republicans cave on Amnesty and that Voter ID is stopped - or her party will be out of business for DECADES.

Yup.

I don’t think Pelosi is the fresh leadership House Democrats need to turn things around.

But they won’t take friendly advice.

A failure of an individual to vote is as good as a vote against the Party candidate. If the voter agreed with the Party agenda and positions they would get out and vote.

We lost in 2012 because so many Republicans failed to vote.

Seems that most all democrats are saying, and agree amongst themselves that 2/3 of their voters stayed home and didn't vote.
Is not that a direct admission of election fraud?
Where did all those supposedly-uncast democrat votes come from nationwide, then? Inquiring minds want to know!

"Republicans are motivated to go out and vote as a civic duty"

Not in 2008 or 2012 they didn't.

“...didn’t vote...”

and they didn’t vote because they don’t want the sham you are selling.

So happy to see the democrat voters starting to wake up to the evil place you are taking them.

I pray that they sit down and drink a little more TEA and not the Kentucky bourbon.

Our country doesn’t need 0bama bourbon...it needs TEA.

His “hearing” those that didn’t vote is sort of amazing. According to Pelosi, they were Democrats. So what does it mean when a Democrat doesn’t vote for a Democrat? If he was really listening, he’d resign as a failure.

Democrats Lost Because They Didn't Vote

The message conveyed by not voting is almost as loud as the message conveyed by voting.

Has Wasserman-Schultz made a statement yet or is she still in hiding?

I don’t think Pelosi is the fresh leadership House Democrats need to turn things around.

Both the DEMS and the GOP need to think hard about turning the old guard out in favor of younger, fresher, more appealing leaders. DEMS especially, but McConnell and Boehner need to start on a path to relinquish power as well.

Paul Ryan seemed promising, but I think he's too wishy-washy on immigration. There are plenty of others. McConnell and Boehner need to stay in the background more and promote some of the younger, more hip crew and send them out there. See who sinks or swims.

This is good. As long as the Demonrats live in denial and think their getting thrashed is a marketing problem, not the fact that their agenda is total garbage, we have a chance to right the country again.

Identity politics may be starting to wear thin. We'll see in 2016 as they're sure to give it another go because what else do they have?

Their beloved health care plan is a shambles that's causing disaster wherever you turn - and it's only going to get worse. On paper, the economy looks better, but wages are stagnant, hours are being cut, taxes are higher, necessities cost more, health insurance is through the roof - so the middle class is getting squeezed hard.

Nobody wants millions of illegals competing for jobs and being dumped into already strained education and social services systems.

Too many of them non-voters merely rolled over in their graves and went back to sleep.

I wonder if all the light being shined on voter ID laws and voter fraud had any tempering effect on this round of elections.

In 2008, I didn’t vote for the POTUS slot.

I voted for everything else, but I will never cast a vote for a person the likes of John McCain.

That was a civic duty.
