For the most part, the adults in American voted yesterday. (except in MN, etc., of course)

...which anger at Washington gridlock was turned against a president who took office promising to transcend it.

A Lie. They turned against his specific policies.

I wouldn’t call this a real election.

Nearly all of the states up in this election that had Senate seats open where Red or Purple States where Obama was unpopular.

It was always tough for the Democrats to hold them. I think a large measures of fortuitous circumstances helped the GOP this time around.

And the Goddess Of Victory is eternally fickle.

Hey, big guy! It’s so very good to “see” you!

I absolutely love reading your take on the midterms, and relish your humor about them! I have to admit, since the 2006 midterms, I’ve dreaded them.

Tonight has been FUN!

The one thing that struck me was Hillary! and BJ’s utter lack of influence on them!

Maybe they are, finally, past their expiration date.

anger at Washington gridlock

Complete, absolute BS. Does the press EVER get tired of being this Administration's whipping boys?

That’s very true. However, you have to admit that it’s a nice shot In the arm for voters, and a pretty good cushion for the next election.

Would you do me a favor and allow us to enjoy the results for one night before you throw water on them?

Gridlock is a good thing when governments are trying to pass liberty-infringing legislation.

I’ve no objection to a victory lap.

Just keep in mind if the geographical map had been very different, Harry Reid might have been crowing tonight.

It was just the luck of the draw the GOP could run in the states it was strongest and potentially competitive in.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a real curmudgeon.

But, it’s good to see you, anyway. ;-)

Typical Washington Compost piece, the author can’t get past the first sentence without squatting and dropping the first lie.

I think you completely missed the point. These sycophants said the election hinged on "anger at Washington gridlock" ... rather than complete revulsion at Obama Administration policies."

Sure you're on the right website, dude?

There is nothing here to gloat about or even to be happy about.

The Obama Administration and the Democrat control of both the House and Senate early in the Obama Administration combined with Harry Reid's insane, demented control of the Senate for the last 4 years has left the country in a heck of a mess and Obama foreign policy has left the rest of the world destabilized and teetering on the brink of war and savage anarchy.

The Republicans are now in charge of congress and the only thing the Democrats are really good at is blaming others for their failures.
