I’ve no objection to a victory lap.

Just keep in mind if the geographical map had been very different, Harry Reid might have been crowing tonight.

It was just the luck of the draw the GOP could run in the states it was strongest and potentially competitive in.

Yes four Democrat incumbents chose to step aside this round - MO, SD, VA and IA. Those seats were always likely to go to the GOP once they were vacated. It just so happens that they came open this year.

If the GOP were Democrats the media would be playing up the number of women (and one African American) who won this year.

Yeah. We were just lucky. Check out the blue-state state results in a day or two. They must have been lucky too, in some other way.
