For the most part, the adults in American voted yesterday. (except in MN, etc., of course)

Let us hope that Republicans will be smart enough to realize that they did not win the elections by offering people something to vote for, but won because people voted against something. They will have big shoes to fill and all we can do is hope that they don’t squander this once in a blue moon chance to put this country back on the right track. From knowing how the Republicans operated in the past it may not pay to be too overly optimistic.

On the other hand it would come as a pleasant surprise if they come to their senses and avoid making the same mistakes what caused them to fall out of favor with the public in the first place. Fate has given this great country another chance, almost like a Gift Horse by handing us a pitiful misguided and poor excuse for a leader in order to show and teach us a lesson where this country shouldn’t be going. Only time will tell if we have become any wiser and learned our lesson. If we happen to fail, this time there may not be another wakeup call.

Franken and Dayton were to be expected. Stewart Mills (8th CD)...that hurt.
