2nd Amendment rights big loser in Washington State

The socialist republic of King County strikes again in Washington State. One county controlling the agenda for the rest of the state.

We can hope that cases as they occur will find their way to SCOTUS on a fast track to ruling these measures unconstitutional.

If approved by voters, the measure would require background checks to be run on every person purchasing a gun in the state of Washington, even those who are doing so via private sales. However, transfers of antique guns and those between immediate family members would be exempt from the background checks. The measure also requires that dealers who are facilitating gun transfers - whether they are through the licensed dealer or a private seller - receive confirmation in writing from the chief of police or sheriff that the purchaser in question “is eligible to possess a pistol [...] and that the application to purchase is approved by the chief of police or sheriff.” Furthermore, the initiative would render it illegal to hand off a firearm to people outside a person’s immediate family, though exceptions are mentioned, including situations in which people are at a shooting range or hunting.

Massive money and touchy feely commercials for 594 and it worked.
I saw no opposition other than the 591 measure that had really weak commercials.
Thanks Bill Gates you SOB.

I refuse to sit idle and complacent on this. We need to fight back using their own tactics against them. They want to take away our God given right to defend ourselves, then we need to take away their luxury of armed guards. If a law abiding citizen cannot be trusted with a firearm, nor can their “security professionals” aka mall cops. It’s time to use their Marxist, Saul Aylensky, Utopian child mindset against them. Hand gets caught in the cookie jar, it gets slapped. Let them enjoy their Utopia, it will fold all around them. YEP I’m pissed off!!!!

One county controlling the agenda for the rest of the state.

Which is why I have advocated a plan for conservative areas of several states to secede from their parent states. Good candidates for this are Washington, Oregon, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. Maybe even parts of California.
