JACKSON, Miss. Mississippi Republican Thad Cochran has won a seventh term in the U.S. Senate.
Unofficial results show the 76-year-old incumbent defeated two challengers Tuesday -- Democratic former Congressman Travis Childers and Reform Party candidate Shawn O'Hara.

Has anyone told him yet? It was said that he wanted to retire but the GOP-e prevailed upon him to stay in to keep Chris McDaniel out. Maybe now he'll quit and let the governor appoint McDaniel or however it works in Mississippi.
