Dems face culture shock if Senate flips
The Hill ^ | November 3,2014 | Vicki Needham

If the Senate goes Republican on Tuesday, a majority of Democrats will get their first taste of life in the minority.

Only 17 Democrats who could serve in the next Senate were in office eight years ago, the last time the GOP held the levers of power.

I’m hoping much more than just a culture shock. I want hundreds, thousands of firings within that part of the government which runs on political patronage from Congress.

I want them standing in those nonexistent [so says Obama] unemployment lines. I want them to worry about dipping into their retirement/savings. I want them to have to actually shop for value foods and not just the gourmet crap they’ve been splurging on. I want them to worry about whether they can pay for that very reasonably priced ObamaCare.

In short, I want them wondering and worrying like the rest of us out here, outside of the pampered, privilege rare air environment of DC.

Not unless McConnell and crybaby Boehner become conservative overnight. The first time I hear “work across the aisles with our colleagues on the left” I’m gonna puke.

The "stupid party" under Karl Rove's "leadership" is doing all they can to make this election a squeaker. With 0bola's PATHETIC failure as president, the GOP should be walking away with this. The fact that there are so many close races in RED STATES speaks more about the incompetence of the GOP-e than it does about how invincible the Dims are. I for one am disgusted. It's going to be another hold-your-nose election.

The thing that really galls me is that the GOP-e spent the last 6 years running down conservatives and the Tea Party (see Thad Cochran) and now they're telling conservatives to forget all that and come together.

The Republicans ought to take a page from Obama's playbook: Speak explicitly about a policy that cannot be argued against, and then do whatever you want:

"We want to work with Democrats closely, to push forward programs that matter to them, as well as programs that matter to us."
And then dismantle 100% of what they've done over the past 50 years. Kill it with fire. Show no mercy.

If the media complains, just say: "Our policy is to work with Democrats closely, to push forward programs that matter to them, as well as programs that matter to us -- ARE YOU OPPOSED TO THIS POLICY??? Exactly how racist are you??"

"The "stupid party" under Karl Rove's "leadership" is doing all they can to make this election a squeaker."

A few weeks ago a caller on Levin's show made the brilliant point that it's in Rove's interests to keep things tight. The last thing he wants is a strong conservative majority because he then becomes redundant.

Looking forward to watching Debbie Wasserman Schultz flip-out. Then again, how would anyone know?

The last thing he wants is a strong conservative majority because he then becomes redundant.

Not Redundant, but a host of other adjectives that refer to the point he has outlived his usefulness as a political operative, much like a drill has a limited life in a machine shop. It is time for the metaphorical recycling bin for the likes of Rove and a host of other Beltway Lizards that need a new career, need to get off our TV's and stop pontificating, and get out of the public lime-light and start anew....

“I want hundreds, thousands of firings within that part of the government”.....

Which “part”? The entire Democratic side of the aisle?
Democrats do NOT have a monopoly of where purging needs to be implemented, certainly there are several rhinos that also need to be sent back to their holes.

In particular, when odumbo and his ilk are gone, anyone who worked for, was appointed by or had any ties to him MUST be removed. Odumbo is a “cancer” and leaving anything connected with him is still part of that cancer. ALL must be removed permanently, no matter what position or department they are connected with.

Dems have nothing to worry about... if I know the Republicans and if they are successful, they’ll continue to give the Liberals more consideration than they deserve or ever showed US when THEY were in the majority.

The reason why we have computerized voting is so that the rats never have to relinquish control again. If fraud doesn’t work, their backup system was the importation of millions of socialistas.

I really, really want to be wrong.

Culture shock? Ridiculous! The “culture” of our American political system is directed by the unelected elites/elitists who staff the federal bureaucracy and the judicial system. Elections do not impact their behavior one little bit, except occasionally to make them double down.

The one concern is going to be the voter fraud.
