Syrian Rebels Armed And Trained By US Surrender To al-Qaeda Moderate rebels in Syria that the US have armed and trained to fight jihadists have surrendered to al-Qaeda
By Ruth Sherlock, 02 Nov 2014 Two of the main rebel groups receiving weapons from the United States to fight both the regime and jihadist groups in Syria have surrendered to al-Qaeda.
The US and its allies were relying on Harakat Hazm and the Syrian Revolutionary Front to become part of a ground force that would attack the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil).
For the last six months the Hazm movement, and the SRF through them, had been receiving heavy weapons from the US-led coalition, including GRAD rockets and TOW anti-tank missiles.
But on Saturday night Harakat Hazm surrendered military bases and weapons supplies to Jabhat al-Nusra, when the al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria stormed villages they controlled in northern Idlib province.
The development came a day after Jabhat al-Nusra dealt a final blow to the SRF, storming and capturing Deir Sinbal, home town of the group's leader Jamal Marouf.

The “surrender” sounds a bit convenient...as if it were all staged.
So, now ISIS has even more US weapons and fighters trained by the US.
Message to Obama....no one's going to fight your wars for you. They're fighting for themselves.
Obama and Kerry built that.
So many damn groups. Even the ones we consider to be “allies” will probably be blowing up buildings in our cities, shooting at us, or beheading Americans sometime in the not-too-distant future.
We(and the Russians) should target our entire nuclear arsenals and turn the entire region into Trinitite. The world would be a far better place afterwards. We’ll go in and get all of the oil later.
It's good to know that al-Qaeda has become Moderate. I guess that means they'll stop murdering people.
Yeah, sure.
Who writes this stuff?
And McCain. And Graham. And the GOP House majority that approved the funding. The GOP's foreign policy is idealistic. The problem is that the people we have in Congress are also brain-dead and susceptible to hare-brained schemes. We simply do not know enough about these groups to justify funding them.
“...The United States has been extremely cautious in how it supplies weapons to Syrian rebels in the civil war.
But it is this caution that has hampered the efforts of Syria’s moderate rebels, and ultimately resulted in dominance of well-funded jihadist groups, analysts and local rebel commanders have said....”

Bull crap!! The article is trying to say if only Barack had given them more weapons quicker, this would not have happened. Bull crap ... if we had given more weapons the outcome would have been more weapons surrendered to Al Queda. It’s just that simple.
Will they convert to the cause, or is it “off with their heads?”

Plant story...they JOINED AQ.....bet on it lol
Need to remind McCain, Graham, Burr and the rest of the scum that kept saying arming these thugs was a good idea!
Clearing the decks for the upcoming three-way fight: ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Assad.
