A poll by the Des Moines Register published today offers multiple reasons for GOP joy. Jodi Ernst is breaking out into a lead that is beyond the polls margin of error, while, Harry Reid, in words he may regret, has gone on the record saying that an Ernst win portends the GOP taking the Senate. "What Joni Ernst would mean, coming to the United States Senate, is that Mitch McConnell would be the leader of the Senate, someone who agrees with her on virtually everything. Think what that would mean to our country," Reid said on Friday. Unless this is an urgent call for vote fraud, it is hard to see how it will inspire the Democrat ranks. The Registers analysis of the poll is worth reading, for it reveals across-the-board problems for the Democrat candidate Bruce Braley, and highlights why Jodi Ernst may become a rising GOP star if she joins the Senate. But first one caveat: this is a small sample poll, with only 701 likely voters included...

I think shell win but I heard her say she supports affordable healthcare. She sounds like an Obamacare amender, not an Obamcare ender.
I suspect Ernsts comments about hog castrating in her childhood were an act to hustle conservatives in the primary.
Ernst will end being a cow milker in Washington, not a hog castrator.
You will be beside yourself when she wins. I wouldn’t want to be around you.
I agree.
I travel the state of Iowa extensively and my own informal non-scientific yard sign poll says Ernst will win comfortably.
I would guess the ratio is about 20 Ernst signs to every Braley sign.
“Think what that would mean to our country.”
I suspect that harry defines “our country” as DC.
JUST WOW. A Senate without the fool Reid being in leadership. Oh how sweet it is.
Can't cut what's not there.
It will be great. Have you seen the terrain for the senate in 2016? Not easy.
More than the RATS, these so-called "Principled Conservatives" will have to be put on suicide watch if the GOP sweeps the Senate.
No matter what, they will be whining about all being lost.
They remind me of folks like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They thrive on fomenting internal strife. They are always seeking situations where they can ratchet up tension. They fear the end of racism because then they would lose their special status.
And a poll today indicated McConnell leads Grimes 50-42.
So that race may not be close.
A week ago those races were “too close to call.”
What does that mean for North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Kansas. If the Republican candidates are only a point behind, they may all win.
With your attitude you should change your moniker.
You’re not even in the same class as Rush.

BINGO!
I think a lot of it is also hype to see who can out do the others. If it was up to some, we’d have one or two in the Senate and maybe five in the House.
It’s back! Great news!
I’m no fan of liberalism in either political party and I have a media background....
I qualify.....
Yes! :)
With your attitude?
I probably wouldn’t be a listener, crying in the beer doesn’t appeal to me.
Great news, indeed! ;-)
Nate Silver bumped up to 73% today, I guess his last...
Perfect,beats the cheat score.
Because we’ve been bamboozled before by so-called TP “revolutionaries” who weren;t exactly on our side. Ever heard of Rubio and Scott Brown? I’m confident to say the GOP will win but I’m not too keen on anyone of these new blood until they actually do something instead of saying the right words to make us fall for them.
No Reid / No Obama -—what a wunnerful werld . . . Jodi supports impeachment and a whole lot of other good tenets of governance........butttttttttt.......after the 2012 predictions of a romney win and the final results, i’ll be holding my breath until the final results are in . . . true: a lot more ernst ‘yard-signs’ than braley, but it ain’t over ‘till the phat lady sings (an’ ah don’t mean hitlery either!!!)
