Some ad writer should compile a montage of Hillary stumping for all the losers in this election and keep stamping “LOSER” over the candidates’ pictures as they flash by, for the 2016 Republican nominee and the voice over could say something like: “Hillary backed each of these losing candidates in the 2014 election. Transylvania was the first college West of the Allegheny mountains. First in the state of KY. Alma mater to Jefferson Davis, Stephen F. Austin, and others. Henry Clay was a law professor there. It has produced a fair number of governors/senators, and a couple VPs and SCOTUS Justices.

I knew it was old but didn’t know all of that. I guess it is old enough to weather the disgrace of having allowed Hillary on campus. When they chose the name of the college, “Transylvania” probably didn’t have the associations in the popular mind that it has now.
