As the co-founder of the Daily Show, Lizz Winstead might be a funny lady. But what she came up with today was surely an unintentional laugh line. Appearing on Joy Reid's MSNBC show this afternoon, Winstead blamed Wendy Davis' impending thrashing in her race for Governor of Texas on . . . "redistricting."
Lizz, last time we looked, there is no districting"re" or otherwisewhen it comes to statewide races. The entire state is one big district that gets to vote for Governor. Oh, and for good measure, Lizz laid the rest of the blame on "the media." Right. In a state where the major newspaper in three of the four largest cities have endorsed Davis.

LOL. So they changed the border of the entire state of Texas to stop Wendy Davis from winning... Nice.

Projection -
the rats know they only retain some of the seats they have by means of Gerrymandering.
If districts were required to be geographically rectangular, they’d have a really hard time retaining many of their seats.

I find the term “reproductive justice” almost as ridiculous as her blaming redistricting.
So murdering unborn babies and forcing other people to pay for your birth control is “reproductive justice”?

LMAO!!!!! Oh, man... where do we start with THIS one?...

Those jerks (majority Democrats) who agreed to the Compromise of 1850 really screwed Wendy Davis when they set the boundaries of the district represented by the Governor of Texas.

Reading the comment sections of different sites, I’ve seen several liberals blame the impending loss of the Senate on gerrymandering.

Apparently the republicans won’t allow Texas to split into the five states called for in the treaty of Annexation, if they did the Austin area could be hived off and Wendy Davis could be the Senator from the Great State of Austin.

It was the redistricting that occurred shortly after Santa Anna took the Alamo.

She’s right, if she’s talking about the redistricting of Texas in the 1840s.
