Then again, any time would have been right. Systemic white privilege and the language of racism is an American tradition as old as the republic.

Satirizing racial tensions in the so-called post-racial America, Justin Simiens film, Dear White People, follows the lives of several students at Winchester University, a fictional, mostly-white Ivy League college. As it explores the topics of racism, white privilege, affirmative action and interracial relationships, the film almost serves as a rebuttal to everything claimed by people who deny that racism and white privilege exists.
At Winchester, students live in dorms fashioned as houses, with Armstrong Parker House being the house where black students have traditionally chosen to live. In the beginning of the film, Samantha White runs for head of house opposite her ex-boyfriend and son of the dean of students, Troy Fairbanks. Samantha wins. When Kurt Fletcherson of the university presidentpicks an argument in the Armstrong Parker dining hall using thinly veiled racist comments, Samantha kicks him out, and strains begin to simmer.
Samantha hosts a radio show called Dear White People, using her platform to dole out bits of advice to fellow students....

I would rather sit through a two hour root canal than this two hour movie.
Let’s talk about college racial quotas and minority only scholarships...
Why should I care about the “plight” of black students at an Ivy League school?
Bet you it bombs.
This white privilege crap is at best an attempt to advance people by making victims out of people, and that does not work. At worst(most likely) It is an attempt to clientize and patronize the supposedly aggrieved parties. This just empowers very upper class urban cosmopolitan libs and assorted socialists and communists.
Yes ... we have “privilege”. To quote PJ O’Rourke, “Every hippy-dippy thing that’s thought up from heroin addiction to special vegan lunch lines in the local high school cafeteria I get to pay for.”
I’m really starting to see why so many people are moving overseas.

Sometimes I almost feel sorry for the dopey white liberals.
Almost
There are 10 black racists for every old school white racist in this country!
>>But the most important moment in the film is when Samantha White, defines racism: Black people cant be racist, she says. Prejudiced, yes, but not racist. Racism describes a systemic advantage based on race. Black people cant be racists since we dont stand to benefit from such a system.<<
It is sad blacks perpetuate such racist beliefs and are never called out on them.
I'll take a shot and say she or her parents are illegal Haitians.
1. get an education.
2. get a good job.
3. have children in an intact family , and get married before you have kids.
4. stop listening to Sharpton and Jackson, aka the Cheech and Chong of race relations.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

A fictional account of racism doesn’t count as proof of racism.
"We don't have to bother with these formalities, now do we, Mr. White?"
Bet you it bombs.
