Attorneys for a nurse released from isolation in New Jersey after returning to the U.S. from West Africa say she will not comply with Maine health officials requirements that she remain under quarantine at home for 21 days.
Kaci Hickox, who treated Ebola patients in Sierra Leone and shows no symptoms of the virus, agreed to refrain from going out in public for two days only, said Steven Hyman of the New York law firm McLaughlin & Stern. She traveled to Maine on Monday after her release from a New Jersey hospital, where she was isolated against her will.
She doesnt want to agree to continue to be confined to a residence beyond the two days, Hyman said.
I can’t help but think that Kaci Hickox has a life size photo of Sandra Fluke posted on her bedroom wall.
She doesn’t want her 15 minutes to even end.
While what she is doing may be perfectly legal, I see it as unprofessional and I certainly wouldn’t allow her to be my nurse.
Is the governor of Maine protecting his citizens or not?
Then, I don't wish anyone ill...but I am in the process of making a new wish list and guess which wish has moved to No. 1.
If anyone dies from Ebola after contact with her, I hope she gets charged with manslaughter....
I think she was only there a month. I’m betting she never even worked with sick patients or even in a sick village. In fact, after reading an article by her, I’d say she was there to gather stats.....and no more.
....and I will not comply and pay taxes to pay for her medical care.
If she is so confident in her health, she needs to put up a big 21 day bond to cover her medical expenses.
If I caught 0bola from her, my estate would sue for medical costs and punitive damages
She has that DWS, mayonnaise enhanced, hair style
She maybe wants to succeed that clown-haired washerwoman from Fla?
Some Guy in Canada knew he had AIDS, then had one night stands with numerous women.
They threw his ass in jail, after a short trial
I’m sorry, in HER article on the subject, SHE stated she had a fever, checked by an infrared monitor.
Oh, right, that detracts from the narrative that she was discriminated against because she came from a region where the disease is.
Actually what she is doing may show that her real profession is as an activist and operative for the Democratic Party.
Ms. Hickox wrote an article for the Dallas News where she wrote:
"One after another, people asked me questions. Some introduced themselves, some didnt. One man who must have been an immigration officer because he was wearing a weapon belt that I could see protruding from his white coveralls barked questions at me as if I was a criminal."
"Two other officials asked about my work in Sierra Leone. One of them was from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."
But she never mentioned in her article that she too was "from" the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her now scrubbed LinkedIn page lists her employer as "Epidemic Intelligence Service Fellow at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." Source - Gateway Pundit Somehow the description of being asked questions by someone from the CDC doesn't sound so oppressive when you are also a CDC employee.
Does anyone really think that her fellow federal employees from Immigration and Customs through the CDC folks didn't treat her like they would treat any fellow federal employee?
Maine might have a couple more hunting accidents if nursie and her boyfriend wander about the very small town of Fort Kent. She better stay indoors for as long as she is supposed to. Folks don’t put up with a lot of bs up there.
Let her spend the balance of her 21 days in the Lincoln bedroom. Some nice digs.
I doubt it. eric Holder has her back.
Good idea!
And I understand she is actually from Nevada. She is in Fort Kent, because her boyfriend is a student at UMFK.
Do you know how old she is?
I agree. I’ve been saying that she’s been playing this off as a resume enhancement the whole time. No one can convince me that the selfish person I see (Hickox) is truly a caring person. A really caring person wouldn’t be complaining of quarantine like this. She’s a fake, masquerading as a nurse going to help underprivileged people in a third world country. They are tokens to her.
