Congressional Democrats’ disapproval hits a 20-year high
Washington Post ^ | 10/25/2014 | By Aaron Blake

A new poll shows Americans' disdain for Congress is weaker than it has been in more than three years, but neither party has much to brag about.

The Washington Post-ABC News poll shows 50 percent of Americans say they "strongly" disapprove of the way Congress is doing its job. The good news: That's the lowest that number has been since March 2011. The bad news: It's still half the country really disliking Congress.

And when it comes to the two major parties, the improvement doesn't really show.

In fact, congressional Democrats are facing their highest disapproval rating in at least the last 20 years, at 67 percent. Meanwhile, 30 percent approve of the job congressional Democrats are doing.

The poll comes on the heels of a WaPo-ABC poll that showed the Democratic Party in general hitting a three-decade low as far as how people feel about it.

Democrats, though, still remain more popular than the GOP. Just 25 percent of Americans say they approve of the job Republicans in Congress are doing, while 72 percent disapprove.

The difference between the two parties, though, is smaller than it has usually been.

Democrats appear to be suffering from declining support among African Americans, who are about evenly split on the party, with 50 percent approving and 47 percent disapproving.

Another big difference between the two parties has been the GOP base's reluctance to support its congressional contingent. But, at this point, both party bases feel about the same when it comes to their congressional representatives. Democrats approve of their party 56-42, while Republicans approve 55-38.

Doesn’t matter one bit. Just because Liberals aren’t happy with socialism does not mean they are ready to embrace capitalism. They believe their next socialist leader (Hillary) will fix everything.

Even the headlines in the WA Compost favors the Rats. “congressional Democrats’ disapproval hits a 20-year high” sounds better than congressional Democrats approval hits 20-year low. Think about it.

This is why voter fraud is hot and heavy so far this year. Here in SW Pennsylvania I'll be watching to make sure my vote isn't switched to the Rats column.

You idiots got what you voted for. Like it? No? Why?

Why?

Wake. The. F**k. Up. You will change nothing until you restrict, cut and eliminate the bureaucracy. Until that is brought to heel, nothing will change.

Except ... the numbers aren't really comparable. The big difference is that many or most Republicans disapprove of most Republican politicians. Most/almost all Democrats approve of most Democrat politicians.

Things do seem to be drifting that way, slowly. Agreed. When I see it, I will believe it. The determiner, of course, is; is it a lack of free s**t or are you really seeing the problem?

Please, wake up. You have been played by the plantation since Whipmaster Johnson started this crap. Build your family. Stay with your family. Educate your children and work for your goals. Opportunity will be endless.

The White Man is not "putting you down". The white LIbEral is.

Will anyone be asking Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz to comment on this?

Doubt it. Even though maintaining the approval numbers of the Congressional Democrats would seem to be her responsibility, if it is anyone’s.

If the shoe were on the other foot, every reporter in the country would be seeking a comment from the chairman of the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee.

How many people polled even know what congress does or is suppose to do? I would venture less than 10%.

Dang near everyone in my family is a black Democrat. I can tell you for a fact that the bloom is off the rose with how they regard Obama and their party.

I'm not saying they're ready to jump ship to the 'other side', but they sure aren't fired up like they used to be. They're pretty demoralized, to tell you the truth.

One thing that caught my eye after the calamity of the 2012 presidential race, was that something like 19% of black males under the age of 35 voted for Mittens. That's telling.

Congress’s Low Approval Rating Is Hurting Republicans
http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/congresss-low-approval-rating-is-hurting-republicans/

“Still, a congressional approval rating that matched the average of our data set, 34.7 percentage points, would predict a Republican victory of 6.1 points in the national House vote, which is 3 points higher than the actual prediction given a 16 percent congressional approval rating.”

They ought to be demoralized. The DemocRat party has taken them for granted for decades and given them nothing for their support, unless you count on more abortion clinics in black neighborhoods as support.
