They had a Thank You ceremony for the Sargent at Arms. It was very impressive.
... the hero Sergeant-at-Arms dove onto the floor from behind a pillar and shot the Muslim convert ...
I approve of a fair fight. This evil Muslim terrorist wanted to martyr himself. The Sergeant at Arms helped him to accomplish his goal. That’s a fair fight.
Meanwhile our Sargent at arms is a 20 year gov employee who started out working for Harry Reid, worked for the air and space museum and the EPA. No mention of firearms or security training in his bio. Just another ceremonial appointment? The bio suggest he would have hidden in his office rather than take up arms.
Our Sergeant of Arms should be a recent combat vet. Although, the office is ceremonial, you never know when the stuff will get real just as was the case in Canada. Vickers’ composure during and afterwards was very impressive.
I have to say, they all have my respect. They were willing to take on an armed, filthy, murdering muslim with nothing more than sharp sticks... and they knew there was a good chance they would die doing it had he gotten that far... The poor forcibly unarmed bastards wouldn’t have stood a chance.
I wonder if he read The Hunt for Red October? (Does anyone remember the missle room fight?)
In the photo of the Kevin Vickers getting roundly applauded, there is a fully-bearded Member of Parliament wearing a blue turban. I suspect this is a Sikhthe “good guys”.
Kevin Vickers should come to the US and run for POTUS. What we need right now is someone with a pair of Cahones.
Some guys have courage, others are metrosexuals
N.B.: Shooting “up” at ground level against a ground level target can be a very effective technique. Paradoxically, shooting down when you are at elevation above your target is effective as well.
To start with, imagine a home situation in which there is a hallway leading to your bedroom. While in your bedroom at night, you hear a noise, so you go to investigate with your gun.
If you see a single person who is unarmed, you can safely approach them. However, if you get a glance of a person or their shadow, and they are armed, it is better defensively to let them come to you.
A technique in this case is to seek some cover in your bedroom doorway and to get as low as possible, aiming “up”. This is because when they enter the unknown hallway, their eyes and gun will likely be looking for a man sized target standing up. By being even prone, they use precious milliseconds in recognizing you as a threat, and lowering their gun to shoot at you. But you are already aimed at their center of mass.
Additionally, at even 20 or 25 feet, the target profile of someone prone facing you is small, compared to when you are standing up.
Giving Vickers a medal is just not good enough. They should be CLONING VICKERS!
The way I see it, some loose lefty command ashaoles in the Reserve /Regular military interface did not understand , even after international security warnings, that Canadas military was in danger, that guards at the National Memorial needed to be armed, or at least have a magazine full of ammo for their rifles to defend themselves. They were guards in name only.
Thats a FAIL.
Also the fact that lone wolf Bibeau made it through the door of Parliament, without being fired upon by dozens of armed guards inside the door at the check point: FAILURE. Lucky Vickers was the there. Now what will happen when there could be a cadre of tangos in an organized attack? Dozens of politicians would die.......( but no one seems to care about that...go figure.)Every Canadian should be a Vickers, thats the way it used to be.
Heads should be rolling in Parliament but all thats happining is a CYA exercise in two languages. Soon others will die in two languages, but terrorist bullets and plastique wont be bilingual ( therefore they are not recognizable as a threat?). Thats what the thinking has been ever since that faggot psychopomp, liberal fascist Pierre Elliot Trudeau was the PM.Time to end THAT!
If anything the weakness of the Canadian goovernment and its poor excuse for security is shining through....and that is not the true Canadian character, which is obscured by the national politically correct group hug syndrome. That and 25 cents will get many people dead in the near future.
Thats the way it was with a lone wolf attack. Imagine a coordinated ISIS attack with suicide vests? Talk about our federal government being unprepared? And wallowing in it! SICK!
The terrorists cannot believe their good luck.
Count on it.
We need thousands of Vickers, and Canada needs to abandon its gun control mentality. The peons and commoners need to have the right to carry, which is provided for in the federal gun control law, but the provinces refuse to honor that.Time to correct that NOW. Make a few hundred thousand Vickers in the process, and then give him a medal.
That works.
One good man.
One good gun.
One good terrorist, good because he was shot dead by a good man with a good gun.
