Politically, I am Through with Sarah Palin

It’s time for a break up.

If you haven’t already seen, Sarah Palin has endorsed Bill Walker and Byron Mallott’s Independent-Democrat “Unity” ticket in the Alaska gubernatorial race over Republican incumbent Sean Parnell. She endorses the Independent-Democrat ticket over the man who was her own lieutenant governor.

Because of this, as far as Republican politics are concerned, I’m finished with Sarah Palin. I have nothing but respect for her has a wife, mother, and grandmother. I pray that, should I ever be faced with the prospect of having to raise a child with Down Syndrome or any other disability, I would have the wisdom to make the kind of decision she made with Trig and that I could bear that cross so gracefully. I must also add, in light of recent events, that I find the media’s treatment of the family brawl despicable, and unlike Carroll Costello, I find assault no laughing matter.

Not me. I do not endorse Mitt nor will I endorse or vote for any liberal just because they have a (R) after their name.

Just notice some ‘freepers’ who start concern threads about where Ted Cruz’ wife works and spend dramatic paragraphs about what-if when the MSM discovers this.

It’s dawning on me that Steve Schmidt is the political nexus of the Amnesty-demanding Crony Crapitalists since ‘06 or earlier.

And a true Machiavellian, not just a turdblossom ‘architect’.

Amnesty is not just cheaper labor for Crony retail and agriculture. It’s also thousands of dollars each Feb in Earned Income Credits to spend on crap (shoes, electronics, gangsta-rap music, etc). And making sure each amnestied family gets $800+/mo in food stamps and other bennies to free up more money for the consumerist crap.

Amnesty is a gigantic gold mine, if they could only blast the mineshaft open. And since those benefitting from amnesty don’t have to face the daily social consequences of it as they live in gated communites with kids in private school, frankly, they don’t understand what the fuss is from us working stiffs is all about.

This is where we are stuck.

The "Republican" Party is now a government party. The deal was made long ago. The "Republicans" accept the No.2 spot in return for very safe seats and enormous cuts of the swag. They have no governmental responsibility, the bureaucracies being firmly in Democrat hands, leaving them free to craft sweetheart deals for major contributors and to work the crony capitalism scene. (Which is what is happening in Alaska). The "Republicans'" only obligation: pretend to oppose Democrat socialism, especially when campaigning in their home districts, but always leaving the default majority party with the final word. Result: John Boehner. Mitch McConnell. Mitt Romney. Bob Dole. Huge spending by W and his Republican-for-a-a-while Congress.

Why do we vote for them? Simply because the "Republican brand" has come to mean "The Lesser of Two Evils," to "Republicans" anyway. Third Party? Oh sure, look what that gets you. A Democrat winner every time.

The "Republican" Party actually died long ago. It's just that the funeral ain't over and we haven't come up with a suitable heir. Maybe it is Sarah. Perhaps what's left of ideological "Republicans" can combine with what's left of patriotic Democrats to form a viable Third Force in America. I don't expect that it could possibly be a majority party nationally, given the new demography. But perhaps it could have enough seats in a Congress to force both the Republicans and Democrats to accommodate it.

I don't know how things will work out. I do know that we cannot continue to operate in the world using something like Team Obama as our model.

Yes, and Schmidt had a partner in crime to help his destruction of Palin named Nicolle Wallace. She is the one who set-up Palin for failure with the Couric interview. I think Rick Perry has proven himself once again, not the sharpest arrow in the quiver with the hiring of Schmidt. How anyone could hire someone whom has proven to be so disloyal is beyond my comprehension.

She should have kept her mouth shut and made no endorsements.

In spite of previous posts on this thread, you seem oblivious that, as of this moment, SHE hasn't released her own statement. Maybe that's in the works as I type. Or maybe something else you are not privy to is going on.

You sure are quick to jump off the gangplank of the good ship Palin!

If you say conservatives don’t endorse liberals, there are either a bunch of frauds (which I wholly believe) or they do.

The whole ‘lesser evil thing we warned people about is on full display here. They cannot support both lesser evil when that lesser evil has an R and oppose it when it does not.

If Parnell is trying to restart the CBC and screw the people out of hundreds of millions in royalties, then the liberal may well be the lesser evil and they are honor bound to support that by their prior actions and statements.

She could walk the walk by going against Murkowski.

Murkowski is not running.

Read “The 48 laws of Power” by Robert Greene. Everyone should. A lot of things will clarify in an instant.

Yes. And I wonder if anyone has alerted FR site operators of the noticeable uptick in anti-conservatives chatter on Free Republic all of a sudden. Perhaps nothing can be done right now, since the FReepathon is underway.

I never started. She’s really never been nothing more than poster bait. Sure she says nice stuff. But she’s not a serious politician, she’s a talker, not a runner and more importantly not a winner. Talkers are boring, they don’t actually change anything, they just wind up on TV too much.

Abortion trumps ACES

I understand if Palin is trying to politically kick Parnell in the butt for crony capitalism, but to compromise on the bigger issues is completely wrong.

Sure. But since she actually KNOWS the guy, isn’t it possible he’s less than publicly honest about that position?

Until she gives concrete reasoning for her supposed support, it it even exists at all, the prudent move is to hear her out before dumping her and empowering crony Republicanism.

The other thing to consider is that the GOP has often taken the Anti position to wield like a hammer over is and guarantee the vote, then get in and they do nothing to abolish abortion.

that is no different than hostage taking.

Yup. They praised her for endorsing Romney, the arch liberal.

When did Palin endorse Mitt Romney, winning praise? Do you mean refusing to endorse him in 2012, and then just hours before the election itself, endorsing him?

I had Palin’s sole one time ‘endorsement’ used to beat me over the head with for months by a couple conservative frauds on the Palin threads, so I felt it only fair I return the favor with the shoe on the other foot and all...

Sarah’s unflagging support for McCain was/is a deal breaker for me.
