A doctor who recently returned from West Africa, where he was on an Ebola assignment for Doctors Without Borders, has tested positive for Ebola at Bellevue Hospital Center after reporting a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms, a source familiar with the results tells NBC 4 New York.

I can’t understand Senor De Blasio..he’s speaking in Spanish.
Chris Christie has a procedure already in place and tested.
“At the present time, there are still more Americans who have married Kim Kardashian than have died from Ebola.”
Marrying Kim Kardashian doesn’t have a 60-90% death rate within days, in a very gruesome and painful way, nor does being married to a Kardashian have an exponential infection rate.
Now try peddling that bs somewhere else.
My dad worked in that ward as a correction officer. Was attacked several times.
Cuomo “I feel that we have things under control”
Famous Last Words....
From the presser:
Four people that came in direct contact..that they know of.
Obviously, the girlfriend is one.
It has nothing to do with the total number of deaths so much as the fact that it all shows the government as a bunch of people who deny reality when it comes to events happening. Denying terrorist attacks, denying quarantine common sense, and more are a problem. It shows our nation is falling apart, and it shows that fools lead us.
I think the fact he had a relatively high fever already when admitted means that he was probably already running a low fever and contagious when he went out bowling. I guess we’ll all get a chance to see just how likely a casual transmission of Ebola realistically is in the early contagious phase from this moron’s example in the coming weeks.
AND like him, you’re on our side.
Oops... like him = unlike him
I guess we will find how it is to play golf in a haz-mat suit.
They often think that they are immune. Why? Because they are exposed to so many pathogens, their immune systems tend to be VERY strong, so they often actually are. That said, one mistake leads to these kinds of things.
No but you might wish you were dead.
nor does being married to a Kardashian have an exponential infection rate.
I'm not one to cast aspersions on Miss Kardashian's hygiene, so I couldn't possibly comment on her infection rate, if any. But I would note that Ebola doesn't have an "exponential infection rate." There have been several ebola patients in the United States and all, except two nurses in Dallas, were infected in West Africa. Even in Africa Ebola's infection rate isn't exponential. In the United States, it's minimal.
I can understand the CDC & NIHs stupidity, but where is the common sense of trained medical doctors & nurses?
Interesting. Fox is stating the Dr did self-isolate. Who knows. Standard line body fluids, must be in contact, etc, etc. don’t know about New Yorkers but seeing a bunch of marxist dims telling me not to worry would put me at ease... NOT!
Ban travel to and from africa , NOW .
So, you do mean that among medical personnel who are aware of the contagion and alert to the procedures and “protocols” that , so far, it has been contained? But what about the travelers from west Africa who are not as sophisticated? Will we be just as lucky with them ? I doubt it.
Marines & soldiers applying camouflage face paint know to check each other to ensure there is no unpainted skin showing. Throat, behind the ears & wrists often are unpainted and give you away.
The same procedures apply to ensuring full PPE coverage for Ebola.
Apparently this is one of the doctors that would have been inconvenienced if the US had a travel ban from Ebola hot spots.
There is a point beyond which issuing a travel ban makes not a lot of difference. We may have passed that point already.
This is an exponential disease, the time to quarantine is early on.
