Trenton forum to discuss last words of Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin

In a week that saw the capital city remove a mural that paid tribute to Ferguson, Mo. teenager Michael Brown, who was gunned down by a police officer while unarmed, a forum will be held to discuss the 18-year-old’s last words, in addition to other murder victims.

Playing off the Seven Last Words of Jesus, the Shiloh Baptist Church will hold an event Friday to dissect the last words of seven murder victims, including Brown, Amadou Diallo, Shantel Davis, Jordan Davis, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and Renisha McBride. Preachers assigned to discussing each victim’s last words, include Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rev. Toby Sanders and community activist Darren “Freedom” Green.

“We feel like there’s a need for dialogue and we have to pay attention to words,” said Rev. Lukata Mjumbe, whose nonprofit organization Urban Mission Cabinet is co-sponsoring the event. “We often times talk around the victims of murders, and we’re not being intentional about hearing and considering what it is they’re saying, even from the grave.”(continued)

Victims of "Murders"? Trevon was not the victim of murder. It was ruled self defense. The this latest subject was not a victim of murder. Tell me this, were OJ Simpson's subjects "victims of murder"?

Besides, what were their last words? Were they, "Why me?", "What was that for?", "Why'd you shoot me?" Who might be able to assume what their last words were. Or are we being figurative and emotional here in some assemblance of symbolism as an outlet to scream about white racism?
