When it comes to getting news about politics and government, liberals and conservatives inhabit different worlds. There is little overlap in the news sources they turn to and trust. And whether discussing politics online or with friends, they are more likely than others to interact with like-minded individuals, according to a new Pew Research Center study.

Liberals "Are more likely than those in other ideological groups to block or “defriend” someone on a social network – as well as to end a personal friendship – because of politics."

But I thought liberals were open-minded diverse and tolerant? /sarc.

Hahaha yeah so much for their “tolerance”

They are angry, self centered, hypocritical. They absolutely hate being called out because the truth just kills them.

Their own graph shows Fox to be the closest to “centrist”, yet they denigrate its validity and lack of bias.

I find it rather telling that Buzzfeed is pretty much distrusted by BOTH sides of the spectrum.

I have a number of family members who are more liberal than I am. I get along ok with them, but, they tend to get angry and upset about political discussions. Whereas I am happy to discuss issues, find areas of disagreement, explore opinions, etc. WITHOUT TAKING ANYTHING PERSONALLY. They tend to get mad about differences of opinion. Not sure why this is.

CNN and MSNBC are on the way out, while Fox is solvent.

I’m not familiar with the site BuzzFeed. What exactly is the content?

It’s kind of a pop-culture/miscellaneous time waster site that occasionally has actual news on it.

I think the final graph in the article cements that the majority of “news” sources are left wing, or at least the leftists believe them to be.

I've been unfriended on facebook by several liberal family members and acquaintances since Zero was elected. In fact, few family members ever contact me outside of the occasional holiday greeting by mail.

It's fine. We've chosen sides in an emerging contest for the future of this country, where there's little negotiation and no reconciliation.

My family went through this before in the 1860s.

They tend to get mad about differences of opinion. Not sure why this is.

It's because they know that their opinions are rooted in diabolical Communist theory.

They also know in their hearts that it's a set of ideals that have never delivered on their promise of utopia, but have always brought death and degradation wherever they've been implemented.

There's a blackness in the heart of anyone who subscribes to the many forms of Leftism.

Probably because they adopt those attitudes to “fit in” or “Try to be cool” or “hide their own prejudices/biases”

To call them out puts them in the spot. They have to defend ideas that are actually contrary to their innate values and opinions. They can’t be the good little liberals they pretend to be. I know tons of em like that.
