Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said he thinks Republicans will not only take control of the Senate next year but also the White House in 2017.
Cruz, who is considered a potential GOP nominee for the 2016 presidential election, wrote an op-ed for USA Today outlining what Republican priorities would be if they, take over the Senate after Novembers midterm election.
Several vulnerable Democrats in conservative states are up for reelection. Republicans need to gain six seats in order to shift into the majority party.
Cruz said if Republicans win, they would pass legislation to jumpstart the economy, safeguard constitutional liberties, and strengthen our national security.
Part of his economic agenda would include forcing the president to veto legislation that would repeal the healthcare law. He said, even if the president does veto GOP attempts to dismantle ObamaCare, Republicans would have their opportunity after the 2016 presidential election.
In 2017, I believe a Republican president will repeal ObamaCare in its entirety, Cruz wrote. In the interim, we should pass positive healthcare reform to start over, allowing the purchase of insurance across state lines, expanding health savings accounts, and making health insurance, personal, portable, and affordable.
Cruz also suggested that in 2015 Republicans vote to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, stop Environmental Protection Agency regulations, lower taxes, audit the Federal Reserve and repeal federal education mandates, among other things.
We will either pass a serious agenda to address the real priorities of the American people protecting our constitutional rights and pulling us back from the fiscal and economic cliff or the Democrats will filibuster or veto these bills, Cruz wrote. And, if they do so, we will have transparency and accountability for the very next election.

Time to beat the Democrats at their own game!
I'm all for Cruz....not so sure we'll have much of an America left by the time this administration does it's dastardly deeds....Obama’s still got time to do a whole lot of damage yet....like bringing in thousands to vote via his executive pen he's scribbling the walls of our House with!
The last time the Republican Party put out a list like that we grabbed both Houses - and forced Clinton to sign good stuff for America - against his will.
My preference is Dr. Carson, a godly man.
Scott Walker and Bobby Jindal are the only pubs with executive experience, but would I vote for Cruz? Yes!
But it will probably come to another RINO to have to vote for.
Only if they don’t act like Democrats Lite after they get elected - if they get elected.
Does that mean he expects to win himself?
Ok.. I’ll go read it now ;)
It would be nice to have some good political news after watching the beloved country go down the toilet the past several years. However, I am still reeling from incredulity that American people voted in the Marxist Obama TWICE, so suffice it to say I have lost my faith in the American people at this point, and will only believe good news when I see it.
they have to find a puppet that everyone likes first, cuz the gopE machine is surely not going to let TC run!
Mike
Not a chance the Ratlite party will let Cruz win.
Eventually you're going to have to go on the record, loudly and formally, on what we should do about the illegal aliens here now.
What will you say?
Will you be to the left of even ROMENY!?!?!?
“But it will probably come to another RINO to have to vote for.”
They are going to put Romney or Jeb up there thereby giving it to Hillary. Just wait.
Maybe Cruz would be a good VP for either Scott Walker or Bobby Jindal?
Don’t forget about all the college students democrats encourage to vote in both their home states and while away at school. I’ve been trying to get a friendly law firm to sue schools for charging students out-of-state tuition, even as the state certifies that these students are lawful residents of their states - even as the colleges themselves assist in registering students to vote locally. It’s time to budget-crunch the festering breeding grounds where impressionable idiots are taught to toe the leftist line.
Amazing that all the press lately I see about potential 2016 presidential candidates I see Romney,Jeb Bush,Christie,Rand Paul,Paul Ryan,Huckabee, but Ted Cruz is never mentioned, why is that ?
He’s right, but only if he is the Republican nominee, and then he has to run like he really wants the job, unlike Dole, McCain, and Romney. The opposition first from the GOP-E and then from the Rats will be brutal, so a half-assed attempt won’t cut it.
A true conservative still can win because he will turn out the base in droves, and common sense conservative principles stated clearly and honestly will always resonate with the milling flock of sheeple in the middle.
No Republican will succeed by being nice to the opposition. He needs to cut them to ribbons (figuratively speaking, of course).
If a RINO or even a conservative wimp gets the nomination, H*****y or the fake Indian will be the next president.
Senator Cruz should be at the TOP of the GOP 2016 ticket, it would be a waste of our most valuable asset to have him at VP. He is head and shoulders above any other candidate we have.
Cruz/Carson
