Do we really need an Ebola Czar?
American Thinker ^ | 10/21/2014 | S. John Massoud

Posted on 10/21/2014 7:03:23 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Most of the so called “conservative media” and many Republican politicians have been trashing the Obama regime for the appointment of new “Ebola Czar” Ron Klain. Most of the trashing has been based on the fact that Klain is not a medical doctor by trade, and that all he has ever done was be in charge of Al Gore’s staff. The fact that the Ebola Czar won’t report directly to our Glorious President Obama, but instead to Susan Rice – well how can you argue with that logic (please note the sarcasm).

Republicans and the conservative media are missing the point – why do we need an Ebola Czar? Maybe I’m missing something here, but isn’t the CDC (aka Center for Disease Control) supposed to handle such things? If the “Center for Disease Control” is not capable of handling something such as, let’s say – the outbreak of a potentially incurable disease, well then why do we have a CDC?

Also of interest should be that our Glorious President Barack Obama in 2014 put in a request for the CDC in the amount of $6.6 billion, a decrease of 270 million dollars from fiscal year 2012.

The Fiscal 2014 CDC budget is 6.9 billion dollars. Very unfortunately it seems this money is not being well spent. CDC Director Tom Frieden has no idea how to do anything other than offend people (remember his blaming Nina Pham for her contracting the Ebola virus after she followed instructions on what to wear when treating an Ebola patient). Frieden also stated that “Essentially any hospital in the country can safely take care of Ebola. You don’t need a special hospital to do it”.

Do we really need another Ebola czar?

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Of course we need an Ebola Czar. Damage Control is hard work and it needs leadership with experience. This guy has been Chief of Staff for a couple of VPs. He is perfect. He worked for Joe Biden. Talk about experience. He is more than perfect.

No, we don't need an ebola czar.

We don't need any czars at all, but appointing an ebola czar is a meaningless gesture intended to insulate the President from criticism by adding another layer of bureaucracy between him and the problem.

More useless bureaucracy, more tax dollars wasted, and ultimately the American people will be less safe.

Standing on the Promises in Psalm 91 will take care of Ebola.

Psalm 91

1 As for you, the one who lives in the shelter of the sovereign One,
and resides in the protective shadow of the mighty king—
2 I say this about the Lord, my shelter and my stronghold,
my God in whom I trust—
3 he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter
and from the destructive plague.
4 He will shelter you with his wings;
you will find safety under his wings.
His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.

5 You need not fear the terrors of the night,
the arrow that flies by day,
6 the plague that comes in the darkness,
or the disease that comes at noon.
7 Though a thousand may fall beside you,
and a multitude on your right side,
it will not reach you.
8 Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes—
you will see the wicked paid back.

9 For you have taken refuge in the Lord,
my shelter, the sovereign One.
10 No harm will overtake you;
no illness will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you in all you do.
12 They will lift you up in their hands,
so you will not slip and fall on a stone.
13 You will subdue a lion and a snake;
you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent.

14 The Lord says,
“Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him;
I will protect him because he is loyal to me.
15 When he calls out to me, I will answer him.
I will be with him when he is in trouble;
I will rescue him and bring him honor.
16 I will satisfy him with long life,
and will let him see my salvation.

The “Ebola Czar” has a very important job.

It is his job to spin the press coverage so that Obama doesn’t get the blame if there is a national Ebola pandemic. If he really does his job well, he will figure out a way to blame it all on the Republicans.

Your tax dollars at work.

Yes we do, because the idiots are already only talking about him and not the problem, so again Obama does what works...and shifts focus from the real issue to bs

Of course we need an Ebola Czar. The US will soon be spending billions and billions more on Ebola, and we need someone to see that gets dispersed to the appropriate Democrat political operatives.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

I could see an Ebola Czar if that person were an eminently qualified expert in public health or communicable diseases, but Klain is a political hack and fixer whose job it will be to cover up the real threat of Ebola to this country and make Obama look good.

We don’t need an Ebola Czar, Obama needs an Ebola Czar so he selected who’s very adept at Newspeak, that is his only job.

Yes, Obama needs an Ebola Czar.
It’s not about Ebola or public health or containment.
It’s about heading off the negative publicity to the regime.

Name one Czar that did something positive. With that record, then why would this Czar have an positive effect in saving us from Ebola? Another Obama joke.

CRONY SOCIALISM

In 2010 Klain advised President Obama to visit and publicly praise the California-based solar-power company Solyndra, even though auditors were warning about the abysmal state of its finances. According to The Washington Post, Klain “dismissed auditors’ concerns about Solyndra’s solvency, reasoning that all innovative companies come with risk.” Soon thereafter, Solyndra went bankrupt and shut down its operations, but not before it had received a $535 million government-backed loan.

In late 2010 Klain was considered a frontrunner to replace outgoing White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, who was preparing to begin his tenure as mayor of Chicago. But Klain opted instead to become president of the investment company Case Holdings and general counsel of the aforementioned venture-capital firm, Revolution.

Sure we do. As I wrote on another thread, things may be overlooked if someone isn’t in charge of steering bribery money to the right places.
