he growing cry for a complete ban on air travel to those countries most stricken by Ebola prompted an emotional plea this past week in Philadelphia by a top Liberian official. She says a ban would be a death sentence. City Council members heard from Gurly Gibson, an official at the Embassy of Liberia in Washington, D.C. She said her countrys situation is dire and that officials believe a halt to air travel would only make things worse. It is going to be a death sentence, just thinking about halting all flights going in, because it will only escalate the problems, Gibson said. We need airlines to go in, to be able to take in supplies to those countries. If not, its going to spread, its going to get worse and more people are going to die.

“”why is he talking to anyone in Philly about it?””
DD & SIL live in Philly outskirts, (he works in local hosp ER). Many are upset that Philly airport wasn’t on the list of those to have travelers screened .... as there is a large Liberian community there. That could be why this official was addressing this group.

Is it possible for anyone to live long enough to do that?
Get real and get your house in order! Looks like Obama is sending you US troops and other personnel to help out
and stop eating that BUSHMEAT!!!
We need airlines to go in, to be able to take in supplies to those countries. If not, its going to spread, its going to get worse and more people are going to die......CALL IN AIR AMERICA!!!! They’d go anywhere, any time, drop off anything and return. The Liberians would get their supplies and NOBODY would get infected. (Of course everything would have been looted before the patients got them).
Vladimir Putin and the Chinese are howling with laughter at how we are the worlds number one dumping ground for the poor, diseased and illiterate no matter where they might live.
Thanks Presidente Obola!
