The police officer who fatally shot an unarmed 18-year-old in a St. Louis suburb last summer has told investigators that he was pinned in his vehicle and in fear for his life as they struggled over his gun, The New York Times reported. [ ]
The Times reported that the account of Wilson's version of events came from government officials briefed on the federal civil rights investigation into the Aug. 9 shooting that sparked racial unrest and weeks of protests, some of which turned violent. Wilson is white and Brown black.

Wilson is kind of a pale pink and Brown WAS brown. But the good news is that Wilson is alive and Brown is not.
My support for the police has been a lot more conditional these days. In far too many instances these days, the police seem more interested in protecting themselves than confronting actual criminals. I don’t think that is the case with the initial police shooting in Ferguson. Based on what I have seen and read, both for and against the policeman’s story, I think the shooting was legitimate and Michael Brown most likely attacked the police officer. Therefore, deadly force was authorized. You can criticize other aspects of the police response afterwards, but the initial shooting seems justified. Other facts may come out that change my opinion, but that is what I think for now.
And that is the $10,000 question. Was Brown stopped when Wilson shot him? Was he running away? Or was he charging the officer? The autopsy should be able to show that.
I share your feelings. Throughout this unfortunate incident, I have yet to see a news media person identify the true issue. It is not race but authority versus a thug used to getting his own way. Just look at all the respect for authority shown by the race batters who flocked to Ferguson in hopes of building their public image or lining their pockets. Want more examples? How about the rioters who taunted police and, when the police showed restraint, looted the stores? In my opinion, water hoses and rubber bullets were a better option than standing back and watching lawlessness. The media shares much of the blame for accepting the story told by a criminal, running with it, and generally inciting the public. I guess that’s the only way to sell papers these days, creating a headline where one shouldn’t exist. Too bad they don’t share the same enthusiasm for Obama’s scandals, I might even buy a paper then.
The perp, then started to run away and Officer Wilson didn't shoot again until Brown changed direction and charges the Police Officer, who, in fear for his life, shot and killed the perp.
In the words of our beloved pResident, PERIOD.
“...The perp, then started to run away and Officer Wilson didn’t shoot again until Brown changed direction and charges the Police Officer, who, in fear for his life, shot and killed the perp....”

And the “Gentle Giant’s” state of mind as demonstrated by the video of his strong-arm robbery of the convenience store, moments before, is when challenged to turn around and assault toward his challenger.
And that is, with near certainty, what he did with Officer Wilson just as he did with the convenience store clerk who verbally tried to stop him as he was leaving THAT crime scene.
I didn’t follow the story initially and was lead to believe by the media that this was a cold blooded killing by the cop.
Then once the convenience store robbery video came out, it was pretty clear what happened. Brown was a street thug who obviously thought he was going to be arrested for the robbery he committed ten minutes earlier.
Dear Officer Wilson....given current conditions your life is still in danger.
The perp, then started to run away and Officer Wilson didn't shoot again until Brown changed direction and charges the Police Officer, who, in fear for his life, shot and killed the perp.
Similar to what Brown did to the clerk... he turned on the guy and threatened him. Lots like Brown was one hair trigger crazy...
I can see you don’t know the autopsy results.
You don’t know that Brown’s blood was in the squad car proving he was trying to assault the cop.
And yes its been forensically proved he was not shot in the back.
He was charging the cop.
“Federal Civil Rights investigation . . . “ equals “let’s figure out how to bend the truth and get whitey for killing a poor, indefensible, black man.”
My friend and I went to the convenience store, yadda yadda yadda, this cop stopped us.
Perhaps THE single most biased story about the Ferguson incident yet. This is not a news story, but simply race baiting at its very worst by presenting a grossly one-sided picture of what happened, and deliberately omitting a very large number of mitigating facts about the matter that were emphasized by the New York times, such as:
1. Officer Wilson’s gun was fired twice from in the car as Brown reached in through the car window while pinning Wilson in his patrol car.
2. Brown’s blood was on the gun, meaning close shots, not shots at a distance.
3. The primary witness indicting Wilson was Brown’s accomplice in a robbery a few minutes earlier and who has since recanted his testimony.
4. The forensic evidence contradicts several witness claims that Brown was shot while “surrendering”.
It did...All six bullets entered Brown’s body on the front of his body...unless Brown was backpedalling, he was charging the officer, which is why the officer kept firing...
Police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson MO told investigators he was pinned in vehicle and feared for his life... MORE...
'Brown reached for gun'...
Evidence 'does not support civil rights charges'... MORE...
"Evidence, facts do not matter.. only race matters," say Obama-Holder demagogues, race-grievance industry cadre and extortionists, MSM employees . . . .
[My addition at the end.]
This case was a frame up of the police officer from the getgo, had all the earmarks of a railroading in progress, I sent the guy money to his fund, he is clearly innocent.
George Zimmerman was another clear, very clear case of a guy being railroaded, clearly was innocent.
Now that`s not to say that there are not bad cops, there is absolutely, I have met a couple of them in my life.
I take each case by case.
Next we’ll be hearing Mark Fuhrman planted the blood drops in the patrol car.
Also police are NOT told in their training at any point, that they are required to be heroes.
Wilson is kind of a pale pink and Brown WAS brown.
...
Wilson is a police officer, and Brown was committing a violent felony against the police officer. That’s all that should matter, but the black lynch mob won’t see it that way.
