Complete Headline:Ebola-stricken nurse Amber Vinson may have had symptoms almost a week ago - BEFORE she left Dallas for Ohio, went bridesmaid dress shopping, and flew BACK to Texas
Ebola-stricken nurse Amber Vinson may have been showing symptoms of the deadly virus as early as last Friday - before she flew to Ohio for the weekend and then back to Texas.
The CDC made the shocking announcement on Thursday, after Miss Vinson was revealed as the second medical worker in Dallas to contract Ebola from the U.S.'s 'patient zero' Thomas Duncan.
On October 10, Miss Vinson, 29, may have had Ebola symptoms when she flew out of Dallas-Fort Worth Airport on Frontier Airlines Flight 1142 to Cleveland to plan her upcoming wedding, a health official said today.

I suspect it was a white person at the CDC who gave her the OK to travel, so she’s got an perfect race card excuse.
“He is amazingly quiet regarding Patient #2, Amber Vinson...”
That cockroach has been quite since Nina Pham caught it from Duncan.
This is what doesn’t make sense about this story..Amber when she boarded the flight had a fever of 99.5..by the time she arrived back home in Dallas just looking at the photos, she could hardly walk..so Im supposed to believe when she went to Cleveland on Friday she was already feeling bad? She should have had a fever of 102 by the time she got back, so how “bad” was she feeling when she left for Cleveland?
Maybe it will turn out that she *was* self-centered, but if she had just a 99 degree temperature for the flight back, what symptoms would she have had before that? The bridal shop owner said she didn’t seem sick, and from all accounts she wasn’t severely ill with symptoms days later when she went to the hospital. The CDC is very vague, too, in what it’s saying now. And, she was under no instructions last week not to travel. She probably isn’t the only one who has.
That’s always been my theory, they knew in advance Duncan was exposed to Ebola(He probably told them before he left from Liberia) and they left the apt, they were never in that apartment to begin with
From everthing I have read, once the Ebola symptoms show, it is downhill VERY quickly (hours). She probably had a fever from something else, or a “sick” feeling due to anxiety from being near Duncan. Regardless, she should have known better to expose others in case those early symptoms were Ebola. (But - I really don’t think they were.)
All possible, but none of it is likely.
Have they shown duncan’s family? How do you know they are not dead?
Do we know for sure that they haven’t contracted it?
They’ve been removed to an undisclosed location and news of them has been non-existent
That explains why she is so sick now. She’s had the disease for a week.
She was highly contagious on the plane back. And no doubt while in Ohio. And quite possibly before she left DAllas for that irresponsible, criminal jaunt. She didn’t even give a flying hoot about her own relatives.
Hopefully the folks in Ohio didn’t catch it if they did, a whole new list of contacts will have to be traced. Along with airline passengers.
You are believing the CDC. The woman was honest enough to call CDC before traveling with fever. I believe her before the CDC 100%.
Troh is not dead because she just commented on an apology given by some official of the hospital.
The nephew is not dead because he is all over the media bad-mouthing all the whities who had anything to do with Duncan (my interpretation of it).
...Duncan was throwing up and everything while in that apartment and those people have not contracted the disease...
That’s based on what we have been allowed to know. Now they are shipping Nina Pham the first Dallas nurse infected to Maryland. Dallas has two beds for Ebola patients and had two nurses sick. Question who else is sick now???
Well I completely disagree with you about Amber. She is a young person in love. Her life is focused on planning her wedding. She was given all sorts of assurances — as everyone was — that she was at very low risk. Her risk was so low that she was not even included in the list of quarantined persons. The story on Nina did not break until that same travel day. I do not know about you, but if I am flying somewhere, I am not focused on the news but on making it to the airport on time with everything I need to bring.
She called the CDC 3 times before the flight back home. Of course she cared about her family and her fiance. Unfortunately she believed the assurances she was given. Obviously all the workers did or they would not have been their risking their own lives.
Duncan went to the hospital, was tuned away, and came back days later. He theoretically could have infected a ton of people if he wanted to.
Agreed - I am really surpised that he didn’t infect people. Although he WAS feeling so lousy that first visit he probably just went back to the apartment and bed. His relatives said he kept to himself, cleaned up after himself in the bathroom, etc.
But - he was probably sick enough that he would not have considered getting on an airplane to plan a wedding.
None of us saw any of this first hand.
We tend to believe what we are told by news readers.
The reporters didn’t witness the family or these events first hand, either.
Someone feeds them the information, all the news we need to know.
; )
“Plus If Reid or Obama stop such a law, Republicans win big in three weeks.”
Good point. Too bad the R’s are too cowardly.
“She called the CDC 3 times before the flight back home. “
Shows she was concerned and tried to get answers.
I blame this regime. If flights from Liberia were stopped, this wouldn’t even be a topic of conversation. If the CDC was competent and quarantined instead of pretending to ‘monitor’ those in contact with victims, we’d have a lot less to discuss.
Using the honor system to contain a virus with a fatality rate over 50% goes beyond even the usual liberal incompetence.
