I laughed when I heard it mentioned tonight that the mayor was welcome to all of the sermons - they’re all online and she was encouraged to listen to them.
Perhaps this is why she backed off requesting the sermons. She must have felt pretty stupid after being told that they’re all completely available to her anyway!
Anyone that goes on other sites apart from FR will know there are a good proportion of people out there who absolutely hate Christianity and would be happy for this to pass muster. I see British Actors/Comedians and even those here in Australia lampooning Christians in the most vicious manner and audiences seem to love it. Lefties are empowered by this stuff and they sometimes over reach a little early but believe me the world is heading this way rapidly. When they know they are clearly in the majority they will enforce these things and they will bend and twist the constitution to do it.
We are heading towards a time of persecution - how long it takes to reach physical action on behalf of the state I don’t know but before that, even now, they are already using the law to oppress Christian Liberty. Unions and leftie orgs. like Code Pink will only be happy when the government starts handing them their brown shirts!

The stupids of houston elected this rag knowing she was a les bean and nuts.
She retreats after Cruz confronts her. Why don’t other Republicans stand up for what they believe? What a bunch of wimps.
Not sure when but I believe one day soon the American people will take a violent stand against the tyrants.

Sounds like she hasnt backed down. Only that shes going to change the wording of the subpoenas.
The gay activists would love to gain control of what is preached from pulpits, censoring teachings that homosexual behavior is sin. They would like to use the power of the state and the legal system to quash any talk that homosexuality is not normal.
Houston is just a trial to see how far they get away with this agenda.
And what do the mean the original subpoenas are “too broad”? What is the original problem here they are trying to solve? Nothing else for them to do in Houston?

Ya know I grew up tolerating gays. Didn’t care what they did behind bedroom walls. Their choice, their ultimate judgement. At this point they can all KMA!
Unless they organize a recall on this mayor right now, there will be no lesson learned. If Kalifornians can recall a governor, Houston can run their leftist mayor outta town.
She must be impeached. She absolutely must leave office soon.
An apology for violating Americans’ civil rights is not sufficient. This woman must resign.
Hopefully this will wake up Christians in Houston long enough to get to the polls for the next mayoral election. Sheeesh!
