A trio of House Democrats is calling on President Obama to allow U.S. troops in West Africa to provide direct care to Ebola patients.
The Obama administration has already committed around 4,000 U.S. troops to help fight Ebola in the affected West African countries, but they are performing tasks such as building treatment centers and training local providers, not directly providing care.
Reps. Keith Ellison (Minn.), Karen Bass (Calif.), and Barbara Lee (Calif.) want to change that.

Bring them home now. They can’t do a thing. Can anyone tell me what they can actually do?. They can’t build hospitals— that is corp of engineers stuff. What is going on here? When they come home they will all have to be quarentined. I am amazed that people are tolerating this misuse of our Military.
My son is a Marine, these three are now my enemy.
Why don’t they suggest dem workers like the Peace Corp or SEIU. Doesn’t SEIU have workers in cleaning hospitals? And just a peek at California’s SEIU union there are locals for healthcare workers and long term care workers. They should suggest them first, not the military who they do not support and want to decimate.

Deliberately exposing troops to Ebola just ups the ante on stupidity. Barracks living is one of the fastest ways to spread an airborne disease, so we want to deliberately expose people living in barracks to a horrific, deadly disease? Genius.

Imagine Ebola loose onboard a warship.
Yes. I’m a Marine Vet. and my wife is retired from the Marines. When people ask if our kids will go in to the Corps I tell them no. I don’t want my kids involved with the military. Not the way it is being abused by the politicians.
It could be they want white Republicans to publicly disagree.
