In a new world, a history was written, said Obamas proclamation, required by a 1934 Congressional Joint Resolution. It tells the story of an idea that all women and men are created equal and a people´s struggle to fulfill it. And it is a history shared by

Well, native American tribes were violent with other native American tribes. Not to mention the violence they committed against white settlers.

I wonder if BO ever studied the vile things our aboriginal peoples did to each other before Columbus showed up. Compared to the Aztecs, the Spanish were saints.
In fact, I'll go so far as to say that the White Man saved scores of tribes from total extinction by conquering the Aztec and the Comanche, just to cite two of the more nasty Native groups.

Seems to me it was the Democratic Party's first president, Andrew Jackson, who did the most to bring violence, disease, and deprivation to the Indian tribes that were here before Columbus showed up.
Columbus had nothing to do with that.
To: Nachum
Oh grow up, Obama. The Indians tortured enough “white men” to make you happy.

Yeah, I'd say that is a pretty adequate description of the Oministration's effect on America.

Why does Obama go out of his way to bring up controversial liberal complaints about a holiday for Columbus??? Really????
Does he bring up Dr. King’s “dark side” on Martin Luther King’s birthday??? Didn’t think so.

No, no, no! Indigenous peoples in North America tripped lightly through the meadows, communing with Nature, talking with animals each by name, and subsisting on a purely vegetarian & ecofriendly diet.
THEN.......the evil palefaces arrived!!! Dum dum da DUM!!!
Holy cr@p.........the sad reality has conquered any future attempt at parody. Truth is stranger than any fiction now.

Then we must dump all the other non Native in addition to dumping Columbus Day, we must dump all the other non Native American cultural events.
No more Black History week.

Something wiped out the vast majority of people on this continent before any Europeans arrived. The continent is covered with the ruins of more advanced civilizations that had collapsed leaving the more primitive indians that we think of.

Too bad Mussilini had not been victorious in Ethiopia because had he expanded into what is today Kenya, that POS may never have been born.

LOL 5 words.
Head Bashed In Buffalo Jump (In Alberta Canada)
The Lewis and Clark expedition was lucky enough to discover a buffalo jump with hundreds of carcasses that the indians left untouched to rot.
