Turkey has agreed to allow the U.S.-led coalition to use its military bases for the fight against the Islamic State and to use Turkish territory as part of a training program for Syrian opposition fighters, Obama administration officials said Sunday.
Thats a new commitment and one that we very much welcome, Susan E. Rice, President Obamas national security adviser, said on NBCs Meet the Press.

Bout time.
You do know that a backroom deal was likely struck to get this from Turkey. I think I can figure what it is and it ain’t good.
Susan Rice? What a twit. No wonder things are so jacked.
Probably selling out Israel.
Turkish Air Bases
Bout time.
In exchange for what?
They promised Turkey they are going to get rid of Assad. I also noticed they may have said we could use some air bases, but I see no promise of their help fighting ISIS.
Turkey likes ISIS.
Either a backroom deal or Turkey sees ISIS as a real threat. Just the refugee problem its created might have been enough motivation.
It doesn’t look like the Turkish air bases are a done deal as yet for U.S. combat missions, Erdogan refused use of them in the recent past. Time will tell.
Turkey wants to go after Assad first, ISIS second. The United States is the other way around. Turkey also has a problem with the kurds in the area, they don’t trust them and supporting a war against ISIS sends a message that they are going to help the Kurds establish their own region in northern Syria, which they don’t want. So it’s not that easy for Turkey, but, at least they will let us use their air bases.
Yup, Isis is taking care of their “kurd” problem.
Getting nervous, are they?
Turkey is a Janus- not to be trusted.
Well, I guess we would have to ask first.
Any bets we asked prior to this?
How many troops is it going to take to protect the “coalition” from the Turks?
Crap, they have more active air bases than we do in CONUS!
great news !
now bring in the B-52’s and A-10’s
ASAP
